Finally, an accurate historiography critique of The History Channel.

@twoeightnine: They had Major League. That was their peak.

Oh, and they are in an economic depression - quick, let's write an article about how pathetic that is! So fun to kick them when they are down.

"Wandering comic sans gas cloud."

Is it me, or is there pent up sexual tensions between the two ESPN commentators.

Team Jacob won in Lost. Kinda. They can't win all the time.

Almost as bad as when my mother vocalizes "How do I hang up?" every time I call her cell phone...

@peteer02: hates geofencing: I agree. They could implement it the same way rugby does - where the ref has a earpiece and only in situations where a goal has been overturned do they turn to the upstairs reviewers who give them a quick decision. For the most part, I think the problem is the ego of some referees - after

Star Trek. Maybe it's because I'm more of a fan of Star Wars and have cringed as Lucas, in my view, brought disaster on the franchise with the new films. Let's not do more disservice. I prefer instead if someone ruined an already mocked and outdated television series.

@jodark: That really only makes our sanitation superior. Where does culture come into play here?

@SynicVance2.0: I suspect you are agreeing with me here. The Nation was pointing out that people like Kevin Sheehan and Thom Loverro should not be dismissive of the victory. Nor should they use it as an indicator of cultural supremacy. Because, after all, it is just a game. And a beautiful game at that.

@prez687: I agree. However, considering remarks made by Kevin Sheehan and Thom Loverro, not all of us Americans perceive it that way. The Nation was objecting to being dismissive about our victory. And to using it as proof of cultural superiority.

The Nation wasn't trying to say that we shouldn't celebrate, but that we shouldn't see it as an indicator of cultural supremacy, like the Nazis did.

@bluehinter: I'm more interested since you compared it to a Jonathan Lethem novel. Which one were you thinking of?

@Pittsburghmuggle: I still know folks who are convinced that the sky is blue because it reflects the ocean and the ocean is blue because it reflects the sky. Clear logic.

More accurate.
