It's sad knowing how an independent development studio is well able to move on just like that but Capcom is likely still indecisive on what to do next with the Devil May Cry or ignoring it to put too much time on another Street Fighter, Resident Evil, Monster Hunter or Deep Down.
In comparison to Heavenly Sword, DmC was a significant improvement and Ninja Theory will likely take it's mechanics on board granted likely still to be 30fps.
I don't think Square-Enix ever keeps their games very well exclusive anymore for a good while. Remember XIII and Versus XIII were meant to PS3-exclusive.
