I like to think that Edgar Wright is enough of a stand up guy that he would have put a swift end to this behaviour had he become aware of it. But as we have seen recently, even the ‘decent’ people in Hollywood turn a blind eye to this.

You have put my feelings into words. This has horrified me. One of my favourite actors has become a man who I could not stand to watch in something again. I had hoped that Rapp’s claim was a one off incident from a drunk man with a lot of personal baggage who had since improved himself. I see now that that is not the…
Spacey was one of my favourite actors, so i’ll add in things like American Beauty and Swimming With Sharks. But if more allegations come to light, which seems fairly likely at this point, I’ll have a tough time watching him in anything.
Planet Terror is great fun, i have no idea how anyone can not enjoy it. And McGowan is very good in it. Now that I know this story i want to rewatch it just to show my appreciation in a small way.
I like her too. She just seems to have the unfortunate habit of wording things a little poorly.
I used to be very critical of it, but mainly because i think the first half is more interesting and funny than the second and I place that squarely on the change in dynamic between the leads. That said: Chasing Amy is still pretty good.
I really liked him on Glee back in the day (I probably stopped watching it weekly near the end of season 2). When i first heard about this I was shocked. Part of the reason for that reaction is that he “didn’t seem the type”, we just don’t expect good looking people to do this, as a culture we tend to associate…
It just dawned on me that NAMBLA is (was?) an actual thing. I thought it was just satire for the longest time. I need to lie down and think about how awful the world is for a while.
I didn’t even realise that it was unpopular. It’s actually my favourite movie Seth Rogen has ever appeared in, and its up there for Elizabeth Banks too. And its a surprisingly sweet movie.
I actually watched Chasing Amy for the first time last night. It was decent, only the first half is much better than the second. Kevin Smith seems to me to be the kind of filmmaker that you have to watch a certain time in your life in order for any of his work to resonate with you.
Guess i’m with Kinja now.
