Sometimes its astounding how many massive blunders come from people who earned highly valued, difficult degrees.

As someone currently studying business (in addition to English because i'm a book-lover) this has actually been a very eye opening and helpful comment.
I'm so glad I've avoided these guys ever since seeing Scary Movie 3.
I have wanted to see The Magicians Nephew on the screen since i read it as a kid, and Jon Pertwee would indeed have been perfect.
That and The Magicians Nephew are my favourites. In fact if TriStar did an adaptation of that i would immediately be on board. Maybe they could even convince Tilda Swinton to return.
I'm most curious how they would do The Last Battle. Which would be extremely difficult to adapt. Would TriStar even attempt a faithful version?
On this note: Tom Baker was an excellent Puddleglum in the BBC version. Sure they aren't great and haven't aged well, but he was perfectly cast.
Blanchard also showed up on Peep Show, so she has permanent goodwill from me.
I don't know about that one but isn't Heartbreakers with Jennifer Love-Hewitt and Sigourney Weaver similar to this?
That's probably it. I didn't think it was bad by any stretch. I mostly found it middling.
Speaking of Clowes: am i a heathen for not loving Ghost World?
I haven't finished The Spire yet, I've enjoyed it so far but it doesn't surprise me that they haven't wrapped it up perfectly. It's the kind of thing that's tough to conclude satisfactorily. Personally i love Stokely's artwork, it's quite unique, but i admit that it took some getting used to.
Damn it I need to catch up with Astro City. Busiek is a damn treasure of a writer.
If I were Dana I would probably be pretty freaked out. If the sequel to this one feels it needs to introduce a love interest for someone then lets not have the relationship be quite so creepy.
But she doesn't hang out in his apartment and refuse to leave, about the worst she did was dance with him - and he didn't even notice.
I'm favourable toward those other two franchises (by which i mean i am not annoyed by them) but I recently rewatched Shrek and was struck by how obnoxious i found it. I realised that it wasn't the movie itself so much as Dreamworks repeating this formula so much that its originally good product was tarnished.
Oh man, good question. Alison i think would fit in best with OITNB's tone, but really I'd like to see Krystal and Sofia talk about hair.
It may seem a little petty but: I really dislike Ed Helms. His acting annoys me so much. I could have gotten through 'his' seasons if he, you know, weren't in them.
I do like an earnest movie that isn't snarky or seemingly embarassed about being a 'kid' movie (for me it is the main difference between 2000s Pixar and 2000s Dreamworks).
The Divergent series is a good example too. I have to wonder if the writer thought Allegiant was a word, found out it wasn't but then called it a day anyway.
