You’re making me miss my truck
You’re making me miss my truck
And as the rear tires squish against the bed, you suddenly realize what all the chuckles and exchanged glances between the yard workers meant. This is totally something that would happen to me.
The day I loaded up my Titan to the brim with concrete from a demolished driveway was the day I learned about why you don’t overload a truck, and how easy it is. Fortunately it was uneventful but man that was a white knuckle ride.
This song pops into my head every time you talk about this project, so I’m just going to leave it here. It’s by Fly Golden Eagle
These are the problems I need in my life!
Mine was a 2001 QX4, but it was the same story on the 01-04 Pathfinders as well
Normally it’s adding an aux jack if needed. The cost is typically trivial at best and usually ends up being some wire, a few connectors, a switch, capacitors, ground loop noise isolator, etc. For the cost per dollar, it’s almost always the most valuable.
Seems like if you’re looking at spending $100 or more on these you might as well just have a vinyl wrap professionally applied. Then you get to choose whatever color you want, it’ll protect without damaging, and you can even sidestep the “driving around with packing material on your car” argument.
If you have to fold the seats down, then it’s a sleeper conversion. Sorry!
The XC90 and S80 T6 had a twin turbo transverse engine with AWD. If you’re willing to go with a P2 V70, it should theoretically be possible to swap that engine in.
He and Les Claypool were hanging out back in the day. Some of that cool was destined to rub off.
“Flushing with water” just doesn’t feel sufficient to me.
IS a 250 got it right. Volvo put it in the XC90 and S80. I’m pretty sure they weren’t the only ones, but they’re the ones I’m immediately familiar with.
Put ‘em in the oven! You heat them up enough they’ll just stick to the carpet upon installation. Problem solved. /s
I have an inline six which doesn’t sound so bad, but it’s transverse mounted. This means excellent room on the front and back (intake and exhaust), but only an inch or two on either end. Timing belt jobs are...challenging.
Sounds like it’s time to treat yo’ self
I ended up just involving my wife in the car buying process. She’s pretty easy to shop for, but she ended up picking a car and color I probably wouldn’t have chosen myself. Considering how happy she is with it, I’d say it was the right call.
I got my wife a set of these for mother’s day or something years ago. I was a little worried because floor mats for mother’s day....but it ended up a hit. She absolutely loved them and loves how nice it keeps the interior and how easy they are to clean. They have good lasting power too.
I dunno about you, but I can’t make heads or tails of these Twitter screenshots or whatever they are. Maybe it’s because I’m not terribly familiar with the way Twitter is organized.
The guy with the BMW logo next to his name knows what I’m talking about!
