It’s entrapment and it’s bullshit.
It’s entrapment and it’s bullshit.
This is exactly why I drove until I saw an opening in the carpool lane when I got pulled over. The cop busted my balls for not making a beeline for the side of the freeway but there’s no way I was going to let him ticket me for crossing the double yellow.
I’m with you. I wouldn’t call it good looking, but it’s far from ugly and I kind of like it. The wheels are a different story. It does have a chick car look to it, but I could see getting over that and going for it.
Man those rubber accordions on the headrest reminded me how much I hate them and how glad I am that we don’t see them on cars any more. One of my dad’s cars had them on the shifter and parking brake and they made my skin crawl.
I guess I can say goodbye to swapping the keys around into a dvorak layout.
I have a feeling you’re gonna be right.
To be fair the place you really need a cigarette the most is in a hospital, whether you’re in the bed or not.
I had the same thought. I wonder what things will look like in 5 years after this thing’s been settled (one way or another).
You jest, but I don’t go to Goodwill any more for that reason.
Comment of my day right there
My thoughts exactly. Why the shit would I want to be staring at what my headlights are trying to tell me on surfaces that will undoubtedly not play well when there’s a perfectly legible spot a few feet in front of me?
I saw the car, saw the price, went to the comments section looking for this.
Hmm maybe better to wait out the second gen then. Still wouldn’t buy a VW :-P
I dunno, I like it. It’s simple, clean, refreshing.
I dunno, I don’t feel like that. It does really need an exciting/fun powertrain though.
Personally I’m more inclined to trust the reliability. I’d be very hesitant to own a VW outside of the lease period. The Buick I’d trust to be far less demanding and finicky.
This thing is solidly up my alley. If I were in the market for a new car right now, this would be it. Except the engine. Make it fast and exciting, and then you’ve got the whole package. ‘Course then it’d probably be out of my theoretical price range...
Keep the stock wheels and put the taillight tinting spray back it the garage. Problem solved.
This was my thought as well. Get someone to look over your shoulder the first few times you do them or find a good, detailed howto. There’s a couple of subtle tips that are important, like not hanging the caliper by the brake hose and which side of the pad to apply lube to. There’s something to be said for having…
To be fair, I’m sure nobody’s asked...yet.
