Damn, you schooled $kay. Everything about that picture is better. Curious about the pajamas off to the right, but whatever.

Yeah they say to tape off any paint you care about before applying the C4. It won’t ruin the paint or anything, but you’ll see some streaking that’s somewhat involved to remove.
As a general rule they should make buttons in the car feel like the buttons on a quality hi-fi. I’m getting warm fuzzies just thinking about it.
I found this stuff a little while ago. It’s like Back to Black, but it lasts years instead of days. It’s spendy, but you don’t need very much.
You know, I’m with you. That’s why I’m good with shift buttons in principle. Using a well designed shifter feels terrific, but I would gladly give that up for an extra cupholder.
I’m with you on the shift boots. They’re classy as hell.
Right? If the cost isn’t an issue and you were sort of planning on doing it at some point anyway, why not?
Buy a car that’s running enough to daily, sell your current DD, fix it till it’s “done”, repeat.
Being part of an in crowd certainly has its own appeal.
Definitely not a fan of their recommended service intervals for those years (especially the transmission!), but the Haldex units are certainly serviceable. Granted there’s no drain plug and the fill plug is...frustrating to get to, but it’s absolutely possible to replace the fluid and filter.
I would say running for your life was fully warranted here.
*Pukes in sink* Toyota and Honda are guilty of that too
Geez, the Mustang has them too? I was thinking of Mercedes
I have no problem with carbon fiber inside the car and don’t even have a problem with fake carbon fiber because it looks damn good. The pattern is just incredibly attractive and versatile.
I like the plastic cladding too. It’s nice to know that if it gets all scraped up I can just buy another piece off eBay and slap it on.
Yeah the mixed temperatures makes me crazy. There’s nothing tackier than white LED strips wrapped around halogen bulbs.
In the same vein, those ridiculous puddle lights as well.
This article and these comments are like a cool shower right now. I’m feeling so much validation.
That’s not too far from what I figured. Considering I can do all of that work myself that’s still very much within the realm of reality. If I talk myself into going with another SUV for my next car it will almost certainly be one of these.
