I’ll miss Person of Interest when it comes to an end, it’s one of the best written and acted shows on TV right now. I like to describe it as the best Batman show on TV that doesn’t actually feature Batman (sorry Gotham, you’re not even in the same league as PoI).

It doesn’t belong on this list as I don’t think of it as cyberpunk cannon, but it is one of my favorite books:

One of my favorite quests was Agatha’s Song. Receiving the radio frequency of the violin music was one of the most rewarding things I did in this game.

My first reaction: I was way too invested. I was offended on behalf of his beards and the adult Bobby, etc.

I don’t think that’s true at all. The show didn’t get elevated: it simply never had a chance to suck. It had one perfectly sharp, well executed season. Battlestar Galactica, by comparison, had Season 3. Buffy had season 4 and 6. If Firefly had stayed on, it would have been tainted by a bad season.

I have to agree with Katherine, in my opinion, the series is decent but not the epic classic as people raises it up to be. Cowboy Bebop and Blake 7 are much more deserving of that personally.

Speculation: A Blade Runner (Gosling) is sent to hunt down a replicant that disappeared over 30 years ago (Ford). The plot takes an existentially dark turn when they realize they have the same formative memories.

A lot of what they're doing with the AIs on Person of Interest is so close to what we wanted to do on the Sarah Connor Chronicles that it makes me sad we never got a chance to explore those stories more.

Potential Spoilers about famous series finales ahead

How I Met Your Mother
Two and a Half Men
The Big Bang Theory

With time travel you could totally have Cable feature in a movie, and then have all the kid shenanigans and THEN you can have the sad pan to Cable's face as the characters (and lay audience) realize the little kid they tried to protect became this traumatized and hardened killer.
