I concur, this is getting retarded, but it's kind of in line with how apple aligns their panther, leopard, snow leopard, lion versions, but even then they still call that OS X (10), but there are some drastically big differences in their versions, that I'm just not seeing in firefox and it's way way too short

We should privatize everything... except when it comes to national secrets... those need to be government controlled, and investment in them needs to be 100% government run. /sarcasm

People knock them because they make shitty code. Have you ever actually looked at the code it creates, it's fucking horrible! It's not even necessarily that they create browser specific hacks, it's that they name css elements numerically and not contextually, or create multiples of the same element that contradict

I don't have DVR working directly in boxee, but if you have a cable STB with a working firewire output, there are ways, at least on the mac, to capture and schedule a capture using this feature. It's not really a boxee solution, but I thought about trying to build a way to schedule the recording via boxee. There is

I'm doubting there's some actual inverse kinematics happening here, but it's certainly being mimicked, and to me that's still something horribly broken about a lot of animation. The way things move, is actually beautifully done in that video. Knock me for saying it, but it's the truth.

No conflict of interest, nope, none at all...

Ironic... considering how utterly shitty gizmodo and the whole gawker ux/ui is. Might want to point that finger back at yourselves ladies, and gentlemen.

What I want... a self-contained wireless weather station that doesn't suck, that is compatible with mac and windows, and preferably has has some web api to grab data from it in realtime, so I can automate the control of an AC using z-wave, or send alerts to myself and my wife to open the windows, instead of turning on

I'm utterly sick of my first gen iphone which I had to go back to, after killing my 3gs, which I was more than happy with. I was really hoping apple would come out with a new iphone this month, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen.

NO!

3 things...

digital signage?

@HeroOfTomorrow quit smoking: I recently had to start using my iPhone 2g, and I have caught myself double clicking the home button to switch between apps, so I guess I used it a lot more, and it's more intuitive than one might think. It's odd, I almost miss it, but it's not a deal killer. One thing I do miss however

@Mars478: I find the need to click the home button when I have the screen in landscape to be awkward, so this will be especially useful in that particular case.

@presto117: my guess is there will be a way for apps to signal to the multi-touch gesture daemon that it should disable or not respond while it's (the app) running. Or at least, that's what I would provide to app developers. I don't see a TON of apps using 5 touch points in the manner they are showing. Even say a

Amazingly the ONLY mention of machinima is in the tags. Has nobody heard of MACHINIMA? Really?

@isuee94: just for more shits and giggles.... geez verizon really hates gizmodo:

Well, seeing as how I just broke my 3GS, dropped it and the screen went white, and can't get it fixed (tried replacing the screen). I wonder how much a plan with TWO phones on it would cost to get out of contract. I am 17 months into my 24 month contract. By my calculation that is $85 off of a $175 termination fee.
