Though this explains how so many of Ford’s products seem like they’ve been phoned-in.

I’d also like to mention the trend with Manufacturers and dealerships:

Dealership: Orders everything in black, white, and gray. Pushes sales on the cars they have in stock.
Manufacturer: *arms up in the air* Hmmm, I guess people don’t want to buy colorful cars, let’s stop offering colorful cars.

I have grown completely dead to the cries of “MUH EMMERSIOOOONN!!!”. They cry because having auto oil breaks immersion, but act like having to stop go through 2 menu screens and dig through a horribly sorted inventory screen (that you have no control over) to find the correct oil doesn’t immediately take you out of

I think it really helps that:

It can be very fun to play. A cornerstone of reasons to play a video game.

I think this game may be “average”. But I think that the excellent usage is really coming from the fact that whether it’s an average game or not, it contains many, MANY features, weapons, and skills that would make other games much better if they had them. Divisions skills are all rooted in reality (kinda). Destiny 2

Once you get used to the skills they’re really fun to use. The guns feel pretty great too. Overall it’s just fun.

What possible bridges did they burn with the Bethesda buyout? The bridge to PS players? I don’t think that bridge was a thing. I’m really struggling with understanding you here.

of course you can, but how much will that PC cost to build and manage verse the simplicity of a quiet, eARC enabled console?

The issue there is I have to nagivate menus to load a game, with a mouse and keyboard from 12 feet away on my 55inch TV. No thanks.
I’d much rather pick up a controller, turn on my console and load up my save file from the cloud and be in my game within seconds.

I guess you didnt see the news recently about more PlayStation games getting released on PC going forward, huh? Sony finally realized MS has been moving the right direction all along.

Cause as the writer said in the article.
There’s a benefit of being able to move from one device to another.
Most people keep their PC at a desk and eventually at some point, most users will want to get up and maybe play on the couch for a while, or play in bed a bit before sleeping.
The Xbox environment lends itself

so i can sit on my comfortable couch and play on a 55" OLED screen?

Somehow I don’t think any of us are surprised.

Indeed. I’m ~150 hours in (with over 200 in Odyssey) and can’t wait for the river raids next month and the DLC!

i´m more than 100 hours in and love the fact there is still stuff for me to do. i want the dlc to come out!!

Well said, there are plenty of short games with a straightforward story and experience out there for those who want them. Judging by the Assassin’s Creed sales any “pressure” to make the games shorter is simply not going to work because those who keep buying those games seem to enjoy its length.

I had to scroll way too far to find this comment. I love long games, including Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla. If people are going to pressure companies like Ubisoft into making their long games short, then they’re basically trying to take away a type of game plenty of people do actually want, because they don’t

Ok? Well sucks for you I guess, I happen to enjoy those lengthy games. Don’t get me wrong I get that lengthy games aren’t for everyone but that’s the thing: they’re not for everyone. If you don’t want to spend that much time on this game then, with respect, I guess you have to look elsewhere.

This already exists in windows.  turn on preview mode in the file explorer.  badly researched article, unless im missing something.
