I agree it didnt make sense to kill her, unless he didnt want anyone working for him that it was Theresa smuggling data. He had plans to kill her so he needed Elise out of the way. She knew to much.

She will surely be killed off soon. Probably by Abernathy since she unwisely chose him as a way to get data. Ford will not be removed as he has shown with Theresa. Hell he even killed off Elsie who uncovered the data theft.

I think there is so much mystery left that its not yet boring. Its just that we have yet to see anyone truly throw Ford off his game.
