That is pretty crazy, especially on a Toyota. It does give me some good information for my haggling process when I am finally ready to buy, so thanks!

I need the largest cab so I can have 4 people comfortably, 4WD and probably an automatic - I am not a big fan of manual in trucks. I have my little Abarth for manual duties. I am sure I can find a truck like that for under 30K easily, but I like the look of the Tacoma TRD Off-Road, or a 4Runner Trail. We’ll see if my…
Weird subculture - those are pretty horrible. It sucks having more money than taste - those lifts and wheel/tire combos can’t be cheap.
Yup - good time to be into cars!
I love it! I bought her with 5900 miles, jut broke 8100 or so yesterday. No issues so far - I haven’t messed with the drive train. I upgraded some parts ( I have the 2014 GQ so I changed the steering wheel and exhaust to match Abarth) and it has been a blast so far. She puts a huge smile on my face every time I start…
And that's all you need on one :)
Well, they do have the Tacoma TRD PRO as well, so...no excuses ;)
And yet, some cars are cheaper now adjusted for inflation - with double the horsepower, way more options and larger in size. Last time I looked into an M3 this was the case.
Yeah, they keep their value like crazy, and that is one reason why I might go for it. 4runners are the same. Just saw a 2012 with 50k miles, asking price 32k - new was around 38k.
I don't think I've ever seen one like that. Tacomas are either stock, or nicely lifted with real off-road gear - at least here in CO
$25k?? How? What was the msrp? I paid $29k for a tundra back in 2000...
You can still get them cheap, but as soon as you want any options...
Went to a Toyota dealership yesterday - it was in the 60's, I had my Abarth convertible with the roof down, just having some time for myself. Looked at a 4 door, short bed, automatic TRD off-road Tacoma, and it was close to $40k, and one can expect to pay MSRP right now as they are still low on stock, being a new…
Ha! I had a 91 SHO. I put $900 into some clutch work, car was still actively disentegrating around me at 90k miles, so I traded it in for a Tundra in 2000 - right after I spent like $400 on a pair of front tires. Good memories of that car though - my first car after I moved to states.
$850 for a car and then all that time and money invested? You could have put that $850 down a new lease for one of those $79 per month to 129 per month specials from “name your small car here” and have an actual reliable car to drive, and maybe a weekend available here and there to do stuff other than wrench on an old…
Every car commercial is either
That is why I refuse to play in it
This, so much this. Some random dudes predicted that a company would make a lot, they made a little less (but they still made billions), and all of a sudden, the company sucks. So much bullshit.
Just buy the Outback - base models can be had for $22k or so, and you get a lot of car for that.
