I was just texting my wife about making risotto tonight, and we talked about buying some fresh shallots, so that was the first word on my mind :)

щ is more of a SH, like in shallots, so tovarish

As I was talking about a DUI.....

Sure, I guess I figured that part was obvious :)

That is a good lesson to learn. Unfortunately, most other services cost the same or more - domestic violence, sex offences, dealing with city over an easement - you name it, it costs good money. From what I know, it would cost you $200 and up per billable hour for most lawyers around here.

Law is very much influenced by your salary. My wife is an attorney, and they have to send clients away on regular bases because they can’t afford them. A simple DUI case is $5000 - complicated one can run into double that, and now with Felony DUI laws in Colorado, those numbers can get out of control easily.

I had a problem with that too, but didn’t feel like getting into it. I recently had a flight of bubblys, and my Cava was not too dry (I don’t like dry wine)

Hence the quote marks around those words.

That makes a lot of sense :)

Yeah, like that means much. He is no less a dictator, but it seems Middle East works well with one of those in power

You sound like you think I disagree with you ;)

In Serbia, everyone drinks that - they call it Bambus

US is the only world power left blah blah project power in the middle east blah blah human right violations blah blah Assad doesn’t play by our rules hence he must go blah blah.

Agenda is to get rid of Assad, and we’ll deal with the consequences later. Worked like a charm before, it should work now as well, right? Right? /s

Plane loads of small arms. TOWs by pallet loads. Sorties against Assad’s forces and thousands of smart bombs dropped. Millions of dollars per person trained in the most idiotic program ever. It adds up.

Agreed - I love a good Bellini as well - just had one with peach juice and peach schnapps in prosecco and it was glorious.

Whatever the answer is - and by no means do I have one - I know that sending plane-loads of small-arms, super sophisticated anti-tank weapons and training to forces that are openly aligned with al-Qaeda is not the answer. One day when these weapons are used against our own forces and our real allies, I hope some heads

Dude, I’d star your comment 100 times if I could. #COTD as far as I am concerned.

How is it ignorance? Do you seriously think that any of those people like America? Only reason they ever aligned with anyone was to get help to fight the Russians, then the Taliban.

How do you reasonably expect a strong-man dictator to remain in power, when the majority sect, who accounts for 74% of the population, and the Kurds (9% of the population) want him gone?
