Yup. The mistake they made was thinking that people cared about the movie experience. That was pretty dumb since they already knew people would watch crappy movies, so they should not have been surprised that people would be content to watch those crappy movies a few weeks later on smaller screens.

I like going to the movies, so, selfishly, I hope theaters survive. But I think audiences have made pretty clear that there are really only a handful of movies per year that they’re willing to pay for a full theatrical experience to see. And I don’t think that makes them assholes or philistines.

Executives and senior “leadership” in every industry are largely a bunch of incompetent sociopaths and morons. NONE of them “earn” their exorbitant pay and perks through competence and capable leadership.

I mean, a person just going “Buuuuuuuuhhhhhh...” while staring at the camera for 90 minutes would be funnier than Garfield. 

I’ve never seen a Minions movie so I don’t know anything about any of this.  I’m just not sure what Tangled has to do with Shrek?
