Brian Robbins (now head of Paramount) was friends with Schneider from Head of the Class, and IIRC, got him hired at Nickelodeon in the first place, then boosted his career. I wouldn’t be surprised if Schneider was not actually qualified to be running a show and, like many underqualified bosses, reacted by lashing out
