Which was actually a lot more effective than showing longer flashbacks, imho.

I guess but the show is actually legit boring. There was about 10 minutes of actual story progression in the last episode.
“the Waynes being murdered in an alley”
I don’t know how mainstream the term BDSM was in 1969 though, the vast majority of people back then though the Viet Nam war was a good thing.
Oh yeah so you’re only a couple years older than me.
Maybe it would have worked if Harrison was a good character who we wanted to see more of.
“where most understand gender expression as existing on a spectrum rather than fixed binaries”
I may have stopped watching before the last season? I don’t remember. I remember Butch turning into Solomon Grundy and Morena Baccarin running an underground fighting ring though.
Yep, to each their own. Low absurd is just as funny as high absurd to me as long as it’s done right. I’m a bit younger than you apparently though, my absurdism started out with Pee-Wee and Ren & Stimpy, though I was raised listening to Cosby/Pryor records from mom and Zappa(along with all other genres and styles) from…
That reminds me: I gotta rewatch Got-ham at some point. That show was all the way over the top and I was there for it.
Eh, I think he’s funny, he gets absurdist humor.
Hey man someone got paid to write the new Garfield movie, it actually got produced and distributed to theaters and all kinds of people said ‘Yes, this is a good movie!’, so who knows how these schmucks think sometimes.
Even The Batman with Batman wasn’t a super hot idea.
Yeah it was bad. New Blood ended on setting up Dexter’s kid for a show but it wasn’t just the destination that sucked, the journey was shitty too.
My old Dexter watching crew got together for it and we basically MST3k’d the whole thing.
Right?
I’m really not sure what would make me want to watch this show but the only thing in the trailer that makes me interested at all is Clancy Brown. I can’t keep watching shows just because Clancy Brown is in them though, I watched the new Dexter season because he was in it and, other than getting to see Clancy’s acting…
Yeah that’s when Candy was on top of his game.
I still love it, saw it on the big screen for the first time a few years back and laughed my ass off. The writing may not be as good as his old stuff but the actors all have such great timing and delivery they more than make up for the script.
