Yeah, the fact that so many women have had that same experience is kind of the whole problem Retta!!!
Yeah, the fact that so many women have had that same experience is kind of the whole problem Retta!!!
Women who say this (that it’s happened to every woman) are *so close* to getting the point.
A regular entitled dude is a predator.
when my mother told her aunt about the sexual abuse she was experiencing, my great aunt said, “oh, these things happen”.
The whole “we’ve all been in that situation” dismal is so annoying. Yes many women have been in Grace’s place. That doesn’t mean that what happened wasn’t wrong. It just means that many men get away with it. I’m glad you pointed that out in the article
You’re completely disconnected from reality, murder is clearly the most abusive thing you can do to someone. Family annihilation (the technical term for this sort of thing) is the highest form of abuse and an expression of extreme narcissism and violence combined.
There’s times when women were driven out of their head by untreated postpartum depression and abusive environments like Andrea Yates. But the trying the obvious child abduction and then doing this screams much more of “she was the abuser or the bigger danger of a mutually problematic couple”.
Fully agree. An abuser killing their child as a “fuck you, you can’t have him either” to the other parent is infinitely more common than an abused party killing their child to ‘protect’ them from an abuser. In fact off the top of my head I couldn’t even name a case where the latter scenario occurred.
At some point you have to realize you’re arguing with someone with no grasp on reality and just walk away.
She literally murdered her son. That will never be okay. You can discuss how she was in a horrible position without defending her decision to murder her son.
If she’s so mentally ill that she was a danger to herself and others, she shouldn’t have had any access to that innocent baby she killed.
I think you’re both right. She was clearly mentally ill, desperate, and likely a victim of abuse. At the same time, she murdered her son which makes her the worst abuser of all.
Im sorry, but fuck her. She’s no different than any of those assholes who murder their wife and kids then turn the gun on themselves. Throwing your seven year old child out of a window is the most severe act of abuse you can commit. She was an abuser.
I love her too! So happy when she reappeared : )
Whisper networks often don’t include people closest to the abuser
Her marriage was a business arrangement; he had access to stars, and she had clothing for them to be seen in. She stuck with him right up until his company dumped him, then she did the same, because he no longer had clients for her to clothe.
This is clearly a well orchestrated PR move with all the works. They got a superstar actress who is highly visible in the movement to wear her dress, then a well timed article barely three days later. Finish off with tears and a “think about the kids” moment. Bravo. Too impressed to even muster an eye roll.
No one described Harvey in those terms. Anyone with internet access knows his reputation. He barely tried to hide it.
I respect your opinion, but I don’t agree. She bought a ticket on the train. I took her to task when the scandal broke - the women who came out initially were the ones to say they refused his advances and were assaulted/harassed/blackballed - they declined or danced their way through the quid pro quo…
It is sort of hard to care about what Georgina Chapman has to say about this, because it is hard to imagine she was with Weinstein for any noble purposes in the first place. Her marriage was a business arrangement; he had access to stars, and she had clothing for them to be seen in. She stuck with him right up until…
