Yea, the track is no more about Kanye than it is about any of her other “fueds”, “friends”, the media, and even herself. There is only one line in the whole song that can even be stretched enough to possibly include him in this, for lack of a better term, narrative. As the video made clear, this isn’t a diss track but…

I thought this video was about the various beefs and conspiracies she’s been attached to, not just Kanye? There’s references to Katy Perry, her manufactured Squad, her bearding relationships, her “Who me?!” face. And those are the ones I caught in one viewing and I’m not even a fan.

There was a time when trying to do a deal in Russia like this would have been automatically disqualifying for any prospective Presidential candidate, even absent any corruption allegations.

I still think the song sucks but the more I hear it the more I find the chorus kind of listenable. But I really, really think this is the sort of dark but fun video that Katy Perry is always trying to go for (and fails at, miserably).
