You did it

Ok, OK. How about this for a title? “Author of the Witcher Asks for Lump Sum— More Like Chump Sum, Amirite?”

I got killed by the first moblin things you run into. It smacked me off the side of the cliff and I rolled to my death

You can?!? So much time wasted jumping off the sides of cliffs argh

I hear most companies sell their consoles at a loss (eventually), so I wonder if we’ll ever hit a time where they basically just sell an OS of their console for use on PCs, and those not cool enough to own a PC will just buy the console.

My girlfriend’s kid refers to me as “cracker” sometimes, and just fuggin loses it when he calls me “truck”.

Oh god. Tiger Direct. I haven’t had a single purchase from them that didn’t have an issue of some kind. They keep enticing me with ridiculous rebates. I got a free SSD with a purchase of McAfee, which was then free after rebate. Everything got sent to the wrong address, then the next send out apparently evaporated. It

I buy my parts from Microcenter as no other company really comes close to topping their deal on cpu and mobo combos. It has only happened a few times, but having a DOA mobo and having to do that shitty 30 mile drive on a freeway that always has traffic is the worst. The gas ends up closing the savings gap sometimes

My kid isn’t that big of a fan of gaming. I found my old Sega and she had a good time with the sonic games and got stuck with us a few jumping bits. She digs puzzle games way more. I let her play Meat Boy for a bit and she lost her damn mind but would be so happy when she beat a level. It seems games that have fewer

Heather fix it please

I want to chalk it up to textures or something, but I also have an unfounded theory that at least 45% of the demo package is just an uncompressed, 20 hour long .wav of the developers screaming into a microphone that’s mixed into the code.

Oh the controls. Sooooo baaaaaddd

Back in my day, demos were one full campaign/episode that gave you nearly a complete idea of what to expect from a game, and you threw money at the developer in an envelope to get the rest because it was that good. Or, you just replayed the demo because you were a child with no income.

Those were pretty great. I also liked that Blockbuster had those Xtr3m3 90s cases for a bit that had tips and cheats on the back.

Maybe Nintendo recognizes now that the people who would appreciate an instruction manual are now all adults, and we no longer get to read the instruction booklet in anticipation as our parents drive us home. Maybe if they did have instruction manuals, I’d call my mom and have her drive me to the store so I could jump

Gonna be putting in time on the new Zelda game. I think that new mechanic where you travel to some sorta shadow zone and turn into a wolf is pretty cool. It might open the game up to some interesting puzzles.

Maybe Nintendo is buying their own stock and scalping it themselves

Even stupid books have potential for academic analysis. Bad books not so much... But why read bad books. I did start reading way more comics. Not sure if you’d count that the same as reading prose.

Sorreh. Guess I should clarify that I was speaking of undergraduate and graduate type coursework haha
