I can’t say that I have any interest in watching the Conners - but that Darlene (the “smart, talented” one) ends up working at the same shitty plastic factory her mom used to work at does strike me as a heartbreakingingly realistic depiction of life in a small shitty town.  So good show to them on that one.

“I thought it was illegal to deduct an employee’s paycheck for stuff like this?”

Eh, think I’d not really be down with people posting pics of me from high school without my consent, being that I was a super awkward teen and all. People have complicated relationships with their high school selves and what might look like a perfectly nice photo to an outsider might trigger a lot of painful feelings

“Parler is choosing to make these choices”

I remember STYX AND the Stones! I’m old.

And this is why guys who get all squirmy and scared whenever the topic of #MeToo comes up should always be suspect.

Thomas Middleditch is what you’d get if you asked someone to draw a caricature of a white man running a pick-up artist seminar at a gaming convention.

I understand that it’s a bit weird when he was famous for so long under another name, but if people write articles about Elton John or Snoop Dogg and talk about their childhoods they don’t revert to calling them Reg Dwight or Calvin Broadus the whole way through those paragraphs.

What about that one really long and weird Wonders Years episode where Kevin Arnold and his buddies followed the railroad tracks to see a dead body?

See, I personally thought the whole “limiting number of simultaneous screens and pay a little more for additional screens” was a perfectly elegant and reasonable way to keep a lid on the password sharing.
There are so many damn streaming services now, it’s getting a lot easier not to come back to one you’ve dropped

I was with you until the ‘orchestrated Diana’s murder’ part. No one did that. Diana died in a car accident because she wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, the driver was impaired, and they were travelling at excessive speeds. End.

Her race was definitely part of it, but let’s not discount the “commoner” element as well. An American actress? She might as well have been a rat that found its way in. And while I hate petty dictator bosses, the timing of this little investigation is suspect enough that I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt anyway.

This movie was actually a lot of fun when it was a video game called Dead Rising 2.

According to others reporting it (though I’m guessing more tabloid in nature given the choice of racier photos so pinch of salt) it was other mums reporting her.

ROFL...neighbors and parents “discovered” the site, huh? Any word on which dad or dads outed her to the rest? Jesus is fine with us LOOKING at OnlyFans, apparently...it’s only the posters who need to be kicked out. You couldn’t pay me to send my kids to a Catholic school.

I’m willing to give them a lot of latitude in casting, even though in WoT the various nationalities (e.g. Cairhienin, Shienarans) and ethnic groups (Aiel, Seanchan, Sea Folk) have really strong group identities and fairly distinct physical descriptions. But that’s more part of the worldbuilding, I think, and not so

SHE’s playing Moiraine?! Not the choicest casting (she’d be great as one of the Forsaken!), but I’m still excited for that show!

I’ve liked her ever since she was in Doom in 2005. (She was also in that year’s Pride and Prejudice but didn’t get a lot of screen time compared to Keira Knightley.) But what I’m really looking forward to is her in the upcoming The Wheel of Time series, where this 5'9" blonde will be playing *checks notes* the very

So going to preface this before I say what I’m about to say because I know someone here will immediately go to “Oh you’re just being a douche on the internet”, which... well, saying that already has put that in their mindset but we’ll sort that out later:
