Does anyone know an alternative to jumping jacks. Due to my body type jumping jacks are terrible but I would really like something equivalent. In the past when I have had to do them I either modified them so I didn't actually jump, or when I was jumping I only waved one arm and used the other to hold my chest still. I

What do you mean "if" this show gets another season? NOooooooo, you've shattered my hopes and dreams. I thought because this show is on SyFy it would automatically get another season.

I mostly agree with you...except about M*A*S*H . I'm in my 30's and have been watching that show since I was a kid and still love it. I recently introduced it to my girlfriend who is in her 20's and she loved it and has watched the entire series twice in the past year. Several of my friends still like this show as

This is anecdotal and no one died but when I was in kindergarden my class went on a field trip to a dairy farm, where we all had some milk 'straight from the cow'. We all got varying degrees of sick and 2 kids almost died. I was in quaranteen for several months. Apparently it was just some fluke bacteria (the farmers

I'm not exactly sure that meditation is just "self-help terminology" but I get what you are saying (I first started learning meditation in martial arts). I think you are right though and that it is just about consciously relaxing (I'm not sure that is exactly the right term but close enough). However as someone who

I have been struggling with this issue all my life. I get what you are saying about cloaking everything in self help terms. I hate all that crap too. However there is a difference between distraction and meditation. I use distraction when I am having a panic attack (some times it works...sometimes I need drugs).

I read the first of the series and was not impressed. However I have some more time on my hands and would like to get back into reading fantasy. Would you say this series is worth picking back up?

I don't know how I have never seen this before! Its all good though. Made my day today!

This is the best emoticon (set of emoticons) that I have ever seen. I think you just made my day!

Thanks for the heads up. I can just imagine myself finding out about the "puff of smoke" alert message the hard way. I think I'm going to order a bunch. I'm having alot of fun with the project I'm doing now.

Thanks, this is really helpful. Do you know if they have voltage regulators built in or does that need to be added. I couldn't tell (I'm still pretty new at this).

I'm in the middle of making an 8 channel relay. About halfway through I realized it would have been way cheaper to just buy one. However I have learned a lot so I think it was worth the extra money.

Although you can use java you can also use another language in the arduino development environment (I'm not actually sure what its called). Anyway it is not difficult, especially when you are just starting out. The programming stuff is fairly simple and there are plenty of guides for both the programming and

Which ones are you using for your projects? Could you share a link? Im just getting to the point of having "permanent" project as opposed to projects I'm doing more as experiments and I need to get me some arduinos that are more cost effective.

What? No love for objective-C? </sarcasm> . This is the language that I use the most and because of that my best language, however it is probably my least favourite.

I noticed that too. Speaking of "which one of these things doesn't belong here" the first thing I noticed is that all of the boys are wearing blue shirts and all of the girls are wearing pink shirts, except the woman in the back row center.

I always have at least 20 tabs open at any given time, often more. I have enough ram on all of my computers that it is not an issue. I leave things open until I am sure I don't need them again. As for rebooting the computer, I am really sad if something forces me to reboot. I think I've rebooted my MBP once in the 6

Yeah, I remember that as a kid. I flew alot and I loved going into the cockpit. I even got an extended full tour of a 747 because some lady was having a nervous breakdown next to me and my sister and they wanted us out of the way well she was restrained and sedated (interesting long flight - Hong Kong to Vancouver).

As a kid I was obsessed with all of the Sierra on-line games. Space Quest was my favourite series but I really enjoyed some of Roberta and Ken Williams games. Plus I found it inspiring that a girl (woman) could make video games since at the time that was my dream job. And hers was the only female game designer/maker

Roberta as in Roberta Williams? That would be awesome.
