Just so this doesn’t get buried, and since you have the top post right now...

I realized 2 seconds after hearing this horrible news that Eddie Vedder is the only front man left of my 90's grunge bands. Layne Staley, Scott Weiland, Kurt Cobain and now Chris Cornell.

The news this morning felt like a punch to the face. Soundgarden and Temple of the Dog were mainstays in my personal music library in high school and college. I even willingly paid for (and enjoyed) some of his solo work. His voice was mesmerizing and his lyrics put into words all of the depression-fueled emotions…

Someone better tell Pirelli...

I’ve had a crush on Chris Cornell since I was 12.

I probably had that written on my chart as well, since I had twins at 40.

After I had my first daughter, I was out somewhere with her (she would have been about 2, I was 38), and some asshole asked me if I was her grandmother. I snapped, “I’m not THAT old!!”

The woman who created the picture acknowledges that it was posed. She got pregnant right after the IUD was placed. The placenta grew over the IUD. The IUD was retrieved after the baby and placenta delivered, and she thought it would be funny to pose the newborn holding the IUD.

I think another part of that is building your career to a point where you feel like you can have a kid, and go back into your career. When you have 10+ years of work experience under your belt you have a lot more freedom and opportunity to continue to be valuable to a company or to start your own business.

Aww, that is a great story. It’s nice to hear that he was a nice guy IRL.

That just broke my heart. He really had so much potential. I remember seeing him on Angel and being floored by his accent—his American accent was so spot on, I had no idea he was actually Irish. He really was an incredibly talented actor, and if it hadn’t been for his illness... it’s tragic.
