I was camping in Wyoming during the Perseid meteor shower and the Starlinks flew over. I had no idea what they were at the time and could only guess a meteor broke up in the atmosphere. The line was so perfectly straight I couldn’t believe it and  I Googled when I got home and discovered they were Starlink.

Is it me, or do extremists (left and right) seem to have a woefully inadequate grasp of basic economics and resort to thoughtlessly blaming or pushing whatever their hot button du jour is?

This is such awesome advice! I will add that if you are doing new construction or finishing a basement, take a ton of pre-drywall photos and video with special attention to plumbing, electrical, and HVAC. This has been an invaluable reference in my home projects and improvements.

Beth this is so timely! I’ve had a miserable couple of weeks on my runs and been struggling with lifting due to a hand injury (not lifting related). I am a bit depressed about it. This is great advice and inspiration. Just what I needed to hear today! Thank you!

I agree with JimFive, running through injuries shouldn’t

NFK!! Neither of them were using both hands.

It’s a sad state of affairs that you even have to write this article.

All good stuff but you forgot the best one - roast your own!! You can buy a pound (just under a half kilo) of green beans for around $5-7. You lose about 10-14% weight in water weight during roasting so actual price per pound roasted is a bit higher.

First, kudos for this article! About the only sensible thing I’ve seen posted in a while when it comes to this election.

I’d like to amend this statement. In general, if you receive something in the mail addressed to you that you didn’t order, you can keep it.

I read this and my immediate reaction is I shouldn’t speak at all. I know this isn’t what you meant, but I think it’s important that people do continue talking whether they are educated or not. We need to have the courage to engage in difficult conversations. To have the courage to offer our opinion and have it

Beth you are my hero!!! Going bonkers without the gym and trying to keep it fresh at home without the usual weight racks etc! Those Bulgarians are BRUTAL!

Last thing I need is another gadget adding weight and consuming space in my pack. I usually go for instant (choking down Starbucks; have to try the Alpine!). Curious if anyone has tried re-usable/disposable tea bags? If you can get some with a fine enough mesh, this seems like a perfect solution!

There are a ton of people posting comments about checking their email to see if they were notified about being involved in this. The FAQ on CapOne’s site explicitly states:

Likening fixing climate change to building a bridge or getting a degree is like saying making a paper-boat is like building a modern air-craft carrier. Our most advanced super computers can’t accurately predict the weather more than a few days out. What makes us so sure we can apply some grand plan without making

The cheaper argument isn’t going to hold for very long at the rate fees keep increasing. I’m not sure I buy the hassle argument either. Dragging your bag through the airport parking lot, waiting in line to check it, waiting forever at baggage claim, dragging it to your hotel, then doing it all over again to head home

I’ve been weight lifting 5 days a week for 24 years. I realize my personal experience hardly translates to everyone and makes medical fact, but I recommend avoiding overhead presses. If you have weight over your head, it only takes a slight sudden move (i.e. lose your balance) to seriously hurt your back. I’ve also fou

The Monastiraki Flea market is pretty mind blowing, as is the Central Market. Worth taking an hour to stroll through and gape at everything. If you’re an ancient history science nerd, you have to stop and see the Antikythera mechanism in the National Archaeological Museum. Many other impressive things at the museum as

Idle curiosity - has anyone done an economic analysis on how much prop 65 costs Californians and California businesses in the form of signs, managing “the list”, lost business opportunity, etc. vs. how many jobs are created, etc?

I’m not a cube guy, but I’m curious. You said you’ve held out for years on cubes. What suddenly convinced you they are the best thing ever?
