Ours blew an injection system and VWOA tried to blame it on “bad fuel” despite evidence to the contrary. The dealership went to bat for us and made VW pay under warranty - $5000 repair with the car in the shop 2 weeks. 19,000 miles.

Wow. Check in hand? For us that is looking like February (despite having paperwork approved a month ago and no offer). We have one car, darling. Care to give all four of us a ride in the snow while we shop for a car after waiting additional weeks for the check to arrive? No? Then stop apologizing for VW’s

I’ve been waiting since October 30, when paperwork was confirmed, so good luck with that.

NO ... YOU missed the TEN BUSINESS DAYS from acceptance of paperwork. I am now SEVENTEEN business days past that. THAT is why people are complaining - my paperwork was accepted in late October. Still no offer.

You shift down, and stay off the brake until you have to engage the clutch to shift down again or avoid stalling. I tap my brake to warn the vehicle behind me, since people tend not to pay attention to closing distance, but use the transmission to slow the car the opposite way you do to accelerate.

You don’t want to do this if you get one snowstorm every five years. It would be a waste. I had no problem with all-seasons all last winter in Boston, even, because I have good tires and a standard transmission. If I lived where my brother does? They would be mandatory.
