You’re right, I should have provided the part I was referring to. I was referring to the part that defines a testimonial act, which giving a password clearly is not.

No, they couldn’t compel you to tell them if you have a key. Nor could they make you admit that there is illicit contraband in the box. But if you clearly have the key (say you swallowed it in front of them) they could compel you to hand it over.

I am a lawyer, douchebag. And I know that this case ruled for Hubbel. I also know that it defines and limits“testimonial aspect” in such a way that likely favors the investigators in this case. He’s not being asked if their is porn on the drive, which would be testimonial. What investigators are asking is not

I mean a physical key.

Well, yes. But it isn’t at this level.

I don’t know...I think that calling providing passwords a “testimonial act” is a hard sell. If you put a piece of physical evidence in a lockbox that will destroy itself if it’s not disarmed, the court can force you to disarm it without violating your 5th Am. rights.

This is in the 3rd, not the 11th.

But if you put the knife in a lockbox that was rigged to explode without a key, the court could compel you to turn over the key.

And that would be relevant if he lived in Alabama.

I wouldn’t say he’s clearly protected by the 5th Amendment. I think calling providing passwords a testimonial act is extremely debatable. This is why there are conflicting rulings here.

So do I, and I’m a Dem.

Yeah, I’ve read that run. Really good. I was actually asking about the “planet on a chain” thing.

When was this?

This is disgusting. The death of a young person should never be taken this lightly.

I really enjoyed playing the first Banner Saga on my phone. I know it will be awhile before this game is out on Android, so I’m wondering if anyone has any suggestions for similar games. The things I look for are mental challenges (as opposed to button mashing or EXP grinding), plot with an actual end (you know, a

Oh, that would be a perfect match.

(In increasing order of quality) The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Thor: The Dark World, Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger, and Ant-Man. That’s more than half. Note that the last three are actually pretty good, but they aren’t as good as AoU.

You sound like you’d be fun a parties.
