would it shock you to know the readers of the washington post are overjoyed his brilliant legal mind is back? also maybe his pee-pee?

The ensuing war has exposed the vamps to a secret society known as The Entity’

i like the implication that a massive secret society was just sitting around, maybe throwing the occasional sexy, weird kubrik-esque mask party or having a sexy, weird kubrik-esque bake sale and suddenly out of the blue- vampires!

um, its *non-gmo*. it says so right on the label

my middle/highschool back in the late 90's early 2000's had one door that could be opened from the outside and then you had to walk past the vice principal and/or his secretary who had their dual office right there. there weren’t any intruders who snuck in over the 6 years i was there

is it that odd though? the original is beloved, but it wasn’t a very succesful movie from a financial perspective and i think it cost less to make (adjusting for inflation and all that.) a sequel that faithfully followed it should also be expected to do only ok at the box office, which seems to be what happened.

do what we do and start calling it ‘soccer’ and the problem will go away on its own

sadly, another victim of brexit

Why this Christian organization thought that the director of Night Of The Living Dead was the man for the job is anyone’s guess’

its a pittsburgh based group and he was probably the biggest name in town at the time

notion that all of Europe’s data is stored in a single, highly protected hub’

that’s actually true. Its all located on a thumb drive attached to an old media server in a bramsche highschool which is protected by the vengeful spirits of varus’s legions

its a jarring take on shanghai, i’ll grant it that

i looked it up and its mobile optimization. as people are scrolling through their social media feed, the 3 second clip that plays is supposed to snag their attention and get them to watch the whole thing. i assume that splitting the underlying youtube trailer into a mobile vs desktop friendly version would mess up

my only regret is that i do not have more stars to give

so you’re basically living the allegory of the cave, but through dry bean burgers?

i always thought that was funny. What is a metal detector going to do to stop a mass shooter? Bunch the kids up in a line where they’ll be easier to attack while the unarmed security guard runs for it? the ostensible shooter has a gun and the element of surprise

the first rule of good vegetarian cooking is (and should remain) that you do not try and emulate meat. its never going to match the meat experience and it does a disservice to the vegetable/fruit/etc you are trying to use. let vegetable and vegetable products (i.e. tofu) shine on their own

good point- the supposed illness is the statement of the witness (his GF) who later claimed he was possessed, so that’s not remotely reliable.

And also i now want Law and Order: Demon Law Police. law and order is arguably set in the X-files universe, so its not even that much of a stretch

you would think that at some point someone- if not the studio, then at least some reviewers- would look at the ‘based on a true story’ and say to themselves ‘i wonder what that story is’?

Because the story is that a likely mentally ill person murdered their landlord, who was just some poor random person, and then

its always funny to remember that australia, despite being a continent and a large landmass, until quite recently had a total population that would only just fill a large city, to the point where a single unusual death can be national news for nearly 100 years and not just a dateline re-run for people with insomnia

you mean the canonically recognized life of Saint Olga of Kiev?

welp, fair enough. but it does not hold up if you didn’t watch it until the mid 2000's. its cheap looking, the story and acting are all over the place and the central narrative of ‘can you believe the army might cover up a friendly fire incident to make fallen soldiers look more heroic’ doesn’t really land with the
