I agree that it does not. However, a much higher percentage of the fat population is unhealthy compared to the thin population. And that is not irrelevant.
Hi. Stop hating. You are in fact shaming people who are dedicated to exercise and fitness by lumping them into one box and slapping the label douchebag on it. If it wasn’t cool when fit people do it to fat people (not all fat people are unhealthy etc) then why is it cool when fat people do it to disciplined people?
This... Doesn’t even have to be feminism, does it? I mean, the idea is to not hurt people’s self confidence by showing them extremely fit people. Might be a bit sheltered, but that’s not directly, or only, against women objectification. By that token they would also not show extremely fit men.
Companies should be able to freely advertise products that help get people in shape. So what if they have a girl in a bikini or a shirtless guy with a sixpack. Boo hoo, maybe don’t eat that tub of Hagen Daz and you’d feel better about yourself and not have to try and censor things that hurt your feelings.
You're right, this has jack shit to do with the middle east. well, except, salafist islam is notoriosly intolerlant of gays, and this guy called 911 in the middle of killing people to pledge support to the leader of isis, and he previously expressed sympathy for suicide bombers, and he said he was a fan of the boston…
“My simplistic bullshit"???? Holy fuck you're so stupid i'm literally seething angry right now. You're calling my bullshit simplistic while you just tried to equate a number of different crimes. You're bending over backwards to absolve Islam of this. Nevermind that gays in Middle Eastern countries are routinely put to…
LOL, you’re comparing proselytizing of admittedly hateful beliefs with throwing live gay men off of a building to a cheering crowd.
Never said that. But modern islam is going through its “Crusades” era, whereas Christians have become mostly civilized. Hate to break it to you but there a huge difference.
Actually, no. You’re literally talking out of your ass.
No, read news from a variety of sources, even if you disagree with them. Otherwise you are at the mercy of whatever agenda your prefered source has.
Would you say this if it was some sort of white neo nazi attack? We shouldn’t focus on their motivations? You would never say that. you would say that Neo Nazism needs to be stomped out. But you are scared of criticizing Islam, so you blame republicans instead...
You don’t need to be religious to be homophobic, but it helps!
Yeah, it had NOTHING to do with this shooting.
The Boston and Oklahoma City bombers and the 9/11 terrorists disagree that shooting is the quickest and easiest way to harm lots of people. We’re talking about mass shooting because that’s how you framed the issue.
Look, I’m in favor of gun control as much as the next poster, and I think this tragedy is yet more evidence that assault weapons need to be outlawed. But let’s not pretend that address the other contributing factors, including religious extremism, isn’t a vital part of ensuring this doesn’t happen again.
Not all mass shootings have to be motivated by religion, but many are, and this one was one of them.
Be it Islam or Christianity, it’s a pretty common factor. And Islam was definitely a factor in the Orlando shooting.
Because we could never possibly criticize gun culture AND religion! Nope! No siree!
How is this even a thought-piece? When you say muslim/islam you are saying homophobia. They go hand in hand.
