"Blue is the Warmest Color" would probably not interest you, then, as it also has an unnecessarily long runtime. I wouldn't mind if its three hours were used *well*, but SO MUCH of it was dedicated to little things that don't matter (Here's Adele at her job! Here's her morning routine!), at the expense of the story

In a World… is delightful. I'm surprised I haven't seen it on more end-of-the-year lists.

Eh. It's not actively repulsive to me, just boring.

I didn't get permission yet, I'm still new to this gig. Hence the lack of an avatar.

Oh, you hurt me so good with these 50 Shades articles, A.V. Club. Give me more. More! Holy crap, more!

This one actually seems to come from an honest place, surprisingly enough. Or at least, *I* think it does. I've always liked her music more for the flash than the actual substance (though I'll admit she's at least more clever than the Katy Perrys and Keshas of the world, even though that's a pretty easy feat), but I

Er, ya do know there's a song about her struggle with addiction on here that clearly portrays it in a not-very-flattering light, right? Granted, several other songs on here don't really share the same attitude, but still.

Well, we're not in your world, are we? 'Murica, bitches!

Wow, this has been a shitty year for animation (Miyazaki excepted). Wake me when that Pixar movie inside the mind of a little girl comes out, that actually sounds like a decent concept.

She had a well-documented love of Brian DePalma's films. She also liked early Spielberg, Pedro Almodóvar, and Tim Burton's Batman.

"Seems pretty safe to say the Curtis is the biggest star to emerge from horror, no?"

That movie. That fucking movie. "Depression gives you SUPERPOWERS and ENLIGHTENMENT! It's a philosophy, not a mental illness! Being depressed is the only way to properly handle the bad things in life, and there is no other option!" Yeah, it's about as nihilistic as it gets.

I dunno about the rest of the AVC, but I loathe Knocked Up. Never seen so many people get so enthusiastic about such an overlong, unfunny, hateful movie. Heigl's awful in it, too, but she's awful in everything.

It's weird. I don't think I've seen "Gremlins" here yet. Particularly the scene where the mother's all alone in the house, the phone call gets cut off, and then "Do You Hear What I Hear?" starts up as she starts slooooooowly walking through the house, and then WHAM, you finally see what the Gremlins look like up

Hey, why the hell is everyone suddenly praising that shitty Stephenie Meyer movie?

It better not have, I don't want no pun thread.

THEY'RE ALL GONNA LAUGH AT YOOOOOOUr box office results.

I'm familiar with those episodes, I was just being facetious.

Aw, hell no. Remember what happened to True Blood when they got werewolves? They're the kiss of death.

Holy shit, have I really been missing *that* much on Glee?
