I would hope so, the inability of some players from the America’s to get work permits has been ridiculous. Case-in-point, Joel Campbell, who has the quality to play in the PL but had to wait 3 years.

Aren’t there a bunch of players from Nigeria who signed with English academies? I might be remembering wrong.

They couldn’t do a hard cap on Foreign players or a quota for British ones due to EU employment laws. Who knows what they’ll do now though.

I know, but many are British and many of the foreign born ones have lived in England since childhood.

I’ve always liked those two as a commentary pair, one of my favorites.

Every team in the Premier league has to have 8 homegrown British players. Since they don’t all have 8 British starters I’d say its the second option.

It may be England’s most embarrassing loss ever in a major tournament.

I know, right. you think Antigua and Barbuda is bad, wait until you see North Dakota.

Messi is a good free kick taker, but there have been some free kick specialists who really excel.

Yeah, but we’d get 51 FIFA votes ( if you include Puerto Rico )!

Joe Hart reminds me of Gerard Piqué in a way. He’s absolutely brilliant a lot of the time, but then he makes some of the most baffling errors and misses easy saves. Like Piqué, he also does it often enough for it to be an issue.

I’ve been thinking about this more seriously than I should be, and I’d estimate about 5000 if they were standing together as tightly as possible with no empty spaces and maybe divide that by 50 if you don’t want them all to die.

No, I mean absolute maximum. I don’t care if they can move or breathe, I wanna pack em in like sardines.

This is painful to watch. It’s like watching a wounded animal die. Except this one comes back and does it again two years later.

Yeah, but he plays for Italy and thus wouldn’t play for New Jersey in my hypothetical state-based USA Soccer set up.

At least you didn’t say Hull.

There’s like a 0% chance of Northern Ireland voting to join the Republic of Ireland, or for independence, so the UK will be around for quite a while longer.

The lack of a plan B seems to be evident throughout the line-up. All of the players in a given position are similar.

Yeah, but I think it’s fair to say that Scotland is super unlikely to win a major tournament by themselves. Same goes for Northern Ireland I’d think, as for Wales, we’ll see. England’s trophy winning days may be behind them for the time being.

Over 10% of Icelanders could fit in the stadium.
