True. I imagine they feel the risk of complications is worth it, since their need to keep each of their subjects as isolated at possible outweighs the small chance that this particular fertile woman will die.
Although, white people do regularly "redefine" whiteness to expand or reduce their numbers as needed. For example, Mediterranean Europeans (Greek, Italian) were added to the White category, while South & Central Americans were removed from it (in the US, I understand it's more complicated in actual Central and South…
That, and one of the only things we have is protest. If heavily armed cops start shooting, I don't believe a lot of people will be back out to protest the next day. We generally love our lives too much. So then what happens?
(I'm all super late because I was avoiding this one)
Have you read the book? Offred mentions various resistance movements and IIRC her mother and Moira are both a part of them. They aren't a main focus of the work because Offred isn't active in them, but that doesn't mean they don't exist.
That's a distinction without a difference - all we know in the book is what she thinks, too. But in the book she thinks/hopes he's alive, while here she seems not to.
This is my favorite description of On the Road ever.
There's a particular moon face look women in my mom's family get as they age. I'm not sure if I'll get it, but I could totally see myself having that changed because it would really bother me to look like my terrible Grandma.
I hope this isn't too much of a disappointment, but answering all those questions might be part of your problem. In my experience, at least, the algorithm struggled with weighting questions appropriately, or maybe it didn't have a large enough scale of importance. It seemed to me that if someone matched with 90% of my…

Eating them is precisely how we wiped them out.
Nah, that's the normal afterlife for mermaids in the story. The Little Mermaid is surprised to find out that she gets a chance to earn a soul and go to heaven.
Sure, I'm just thinking of writing in that someone has to bring me my dog. Sneak him in if you must!
I've actually wondered a lot about this recently, oddly enough. It must be so confusing and horrible for a dog to have their person disappear and never come back. I've heard you're supposed to let them see and smell the body if you have another pet who dies, but that generally happens at home or at least in a…
It's worth keeping in mind that side effects really have to be weighed against the benefit of the treatment. No one is trying EST until they are completely out of options, at which point memory loss may genuinely be preferable to leaving their disorder untreated.
"Does that guy have a gun?"
It's only acceptable to comment on non-space cartoons, I guess? http://disq.us/p/1esijl6
And it led to possibly my favorite scene of the entire series, Omar and Levy facing off in court.
