I wonder how necessary personal guns are, though, if you consider the vast differences between basically any military and what's available/feasible for a civilian. Apparently Tunisia had very restrictive gun laws (2nd lowest rate of private ownership) and they still managed to topple the government.

I don't know that it has to do with being dumb or immature - humans are just plain * not that rational * under any circumstances. I don't know, I have that friend too and we're pretty close so I can see how mediocre her relationship is. (Apparently he's proposing, too, ugh.) Even when I was single I didn't envy her coupled status because the guy is such a knob.
