Solitaire is more monarchy than facist I would think.

“This is Wiggum reporting a 318 - waking a police officer.”
for the love of god, PLEASE DO A SEQUEL TO THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. CAVILL YOU WERE GODDAMN PERFECT.
The first one was quite watchable, and is the only one to have a coherent script and a functioning three-acct structures. It has it flaws, mosty stemming from Bay immature proclivities, but they could have been fixed in a sequel. Unforturnately, all the sequels went full Bay
I want to see their classic cartoon shorts on there. Today’s kids need the magic of Humphrey Bear and Goofy learning and failing to do things.
There is a shit-ton of hate for it on this site. I stopped watching it a couple years ago, when I realized I wasn’t nearly as entertained by it as I need to be when I watch a TV show of any sort. But for whatever reason, the writers and commenters here hate the show’s guts. I’m totally on board with the last couple sea…
I didn’t like this show, and have probably only watched one episode, but the amount of glee people are taking in its end is weird to me.
Hooray! In a shitty world in really shitty times, a show that managed to provide 20-something minutes of entertainment and escapism for millions of people around the world each week is finally ending! What a glorious day for people who don’t watch it to celebrate others no longer being able to watch something they…
I feel that we should be offended at all the people who pass judgement on TBBT by calling it ‘blackface’ for nerds. It implies that what The Big Bang Theory does for “nerd culture” is equal to the racial insensitivities and stereotyping that blackface accomplished against persons of color.
“It’s a humorless stream of geeky references presented without purpose or context, playing on ridiculous, tired stereotypes that often come across as racist, misogynistic, or both.”
I’ve never really felt like condemning The Big Bang Theory for being ‘nerd black face’ like I’ve seen many commenters on various sites do. To me it’s a sitcom... and like any sitcom its characters exist primarily as archetypes and archetypes are always rooted in generalizations and stereotypes.
That’s like... your opinion. I like this show, and I don’t care who hates it.
Meh. I’ll be the dissenting voice here and say I don’t mind The Big Bang Theory. My wife enjoys it and I find some of the comic book/sci-fi references it makes give me a chuckle even if my wife doesn’t get them without an explanation.
Finally.
As someone who once worked for CBS Ad Sales I feel bad for my old coworkers because their jobs just became much harder without this to sell. Say what you want about the quality of the show, it was a hit and made a lot of money.
Too old? Setting aside Connery and Moore who both played Bond in their 50s, but as you mentioned Moore hung on too long. Brosnan played Bond at 46. Dalton played Bond at 43. Craig will play Bond at 50 or greater. Elba is 45 and could credibly play 5 to 10 years younger. They could easily get 3 to 5 Bond movies out…
Technically I agree, but will provide a counterpoint anyway:
I said it before I’ll say it again Idris Elba is too OLD for the Part .
