“What did I miss?”

Let’s see, this seems to be the current publishing strategy:

1) Print circulation declines;
2) Fire staff and make product worse;
3) Hire new, young, web-first staff;
4) Make website based entirely on reader data;
5) Blame newsroom for inability to sell website;
5) Repeat endlessly from step 2 until you run out of money.

Ugh, too soon. Take your stupid star, and also this VHS copy of highlights from the 1992 Dallas Cowboys’ thrilling march to the Super Bowl.

Blink if you need help Tricia! She’s blinking constantly- no, no wait I think that’s just the beer.

Don’t forget the Patriots Super Bowl 53 DVD

“...they fear that one of the groups (“Thanos-like”) will be given pink slips, with the other told it is safe.”

Yeah, this has a distinctly non-consensual feel to it. She is literally there as a requirement of her job. Kudos to her (i guess?) for being a good sport about it but it feels real yucky to watch the video of enormous men wearing face covering goggles drenching a single, totally unprotected woman with alcohol.

It’s an error, but I just don’t think it’s very egregious. And while I don’t think anything is anybody’s fault here, why isn’t the narrative “Josh Hader isn’t going to forget this one for a long time”? A big arm with a 2 run lead, 2 outs and a man on 1st should bring that one to the 9th intact. Can’t do much about the

Much like Donald Trump made us all weirdly nostalgic for George W. Bush, I have a feeling the Mavenbrahs will make us long for the salad days of Peter King.

Looking forward to 52 swimsuit issues per year with a special “Year In Sports” roundup edition the week after the Super Bowl.

Yes.

I have nothing to add other than this.

I’m not sure what’s more ridiculous, these Maven characters or the Post calling Junior Bridgeman an “NBA star”.

Is this happening because my dad cancelled our SI subscription in ‘03?

Whatever. Deadspin has been running what I can only assume are native content ads for a dating service for months:
