I test drove one of these and a GTI back to back.  The Veloster N was better hands down.  I’m in the market for one, but am holding off for a bit to see how the next WRX looks and I’m interested in the Corolla Sport GRMN (because America can’t have nice things like the GR Yaris.)

Ricciardo deserves a competitive car. If McLaren finally turns it around (it’s looking promising so far) he might have a shot.

I have mixed feelings about Racing Point. Their designers paused a telecast of a 2019 race and put tracing paper on the screen over the Mercedes. I get the idea of “if you can’t beat ‘em, copy ‘em,” but it feels slimy.

Why can’t they court new (legitimate) sponsors? I know last year was a disaster, but since their inception they’ve always outperformed expectations. In the same time period McLaren, Williams and Force India/ Racing Point have been complete embarrassments and still managed to get new sponsors on the side of their cars…

That show is so great and I think might be the best at continuity. Newer episodes, when they go outside the bar, the Range Rover is still sitting across the street completely burned up from when they shot it with the rocket launcher. It’s never mentioned, but it’s always there.

I really, really hated the new Silverado when I first saw it. I will admit, however, after seeing a few in person around town, it has started growing on me a bit, but I still view it as a distant 5th behind RAM, Ford, Nissan and Toyota.  And that HD version might be the ugliest vehicle ever produced.

I’m in this boat as well. Never meet your childhood heroes. I was absolutely in love with the IROC-Z when I was 5 years old. My dad worked as a mechanic at our local Chevy dealer and picked me up for a ride when he was doing the PDI on a bright red one they just got off the truck. I wanted it so bad.

Absolutely love your avatar pic. I used to watch Aqua Teen Hunger Force and Carl always cracked me up. I liked Spacecataz too. Such a goofy show, but funny.
