Thank you for bringing this into my world. I will now forever say, “No Step on Snek” whenever I see one of these flags.
It’s harder to rile up and control educated people.
For me, muscle/pony cars need to have a V8. I get that they are getting big power out of the turbo 4's and V6's now, but that V8 rumble is part of the car’s aesthetic. A Challenger buzzing away with a V6 sounds inferior.
As I said, I didn’t see this story. And I wouldn’t know anything about a government’s attempt to deflect from their woeful response to the pandemic by resorting to racism. *Cough* “Chinese/Wuhan Virus” *Cough*
I’ve only seen discounts on white ones. The blue ones still command full MSRP and there aren’t much in incentives on them from Hyundai. They know what they’ve got!
Maybe now’s the time to get a job as a repo man.
I just checked the trade-in value of my Tacoma as the lease is up in a little over a week. Trade-in is a good $3,000 less than payoff now and I’m 10,000 miles under the limit. When I leased it, the salesman said I would have equity in it after 3 years. Things come at you quickly.
Why is it in English if it’s in China?
Scion had the same problem.
It certainly does have a Pimp My Ride quality to it.
He’s from Elk Grove which is a pretty wealthy suburb of Sacramento. It’s certainly not the “boonies” that are just now getting indoor plumbing.
I’m wondering if they are falling into the mindset of having to make all their money on a few sales instead of less on a lot of sales.
I wanted one of these so badly as a kid so I could secretly “cheat” in math class.
I still watch the opening scene on Cannonball Run II on YouTube just to hear that V12 scream.
I walked onto that exact lot in the title picture around that time the picture was taken. They had little handwritten “Market Adjustment” tags stuck on next to the Maroney on EVERY SINGLE VEHICLE ON THE LOT. Not some hot new Corvette or Camaro. On Sonics, Malibus, Impalas, Colorados, etc. Every car had a mark up. …
I still can’t get over that a lot of the stock photos you (and jalopnik) use of car dealerships are from my town, Santa Rosa. It’s such a trip when I see it.
I was more taken aback by the $18,000 discount right off the top. Which, like you’re pointing out, hurts their image. There’s a reason high end clothing lines never have sales. Well, they do, they quietly ship their unsold stuff to outlet stores and Ross Dress For Less. But those stores aren’t allowed to advertise…
I didn’t know that. Granted, that would extend your distance between stops, but how much extra time is added filling the additional tanks when they did stop?
