I've had tooth surgery, wisdom and another to extract a baby tooth that was being horrible/not falling out. Woke up mid-surgery for the wisdom teeth and asked to keep the teeth...hilarious, right? For the other one I was awake but completely numb. So, not related.

I've not had this, but I got a vitrectomy when I was 9, and that's serious fucking eye business. YOU'RE GONNA BE OKAY. You'll probably experience some dull pain in the area, but other than that, try relaxation techniques and stuff to prepare for anesthesia. Good luck!!

I've never had that kind of surgery and I'm sorry to say I have no advice that is specific to what you're facing. Except that I know how it is to be frightened of the anesthesia and the entire surgical process.

I haven't had eye surgery, but I've had a lot of surgeries on my face, heh.

One thing I def wanna mention is that if you have trouble with pain, talk about it with your doctor!! We found out from my first surgery that certain painkillers don't work well for me, so for the next ones they used a different type of drug.

I'm not a medical professional but I have a fair amount of experience with hospitals, surgery, etc., from the patient side.

Is there any way you can get a script for some Xanax before surgery? I have to load up before any surgery because I freak myself out so much, and I come out of anesthesia really well. I feel you on the uncommon surgeries that are hard to find info on. All I found were terrifying horror stories about the surgeries I

Ah. Thanks. I didn't know any of this.

There needs to be a museum dedicated to Garth Brooks' magical shirt collection.

this: " so it's definitely hard knowing I probably only have about 7-8 years from turning 30 to have a child. That scares the shit out of me."

The entire thing got on my nerves. She is there to compete and Mark should do his thing for choreography not let her mother veto parts of the dance. Such a blatant move for votes from the fundies. Then Carrie Ann praised it and said the routine was "age appropriate". Sorry grade it for the dance, if parts were omitted

What a coincidence! That's the exact reason we don't want Republicans voting!

I got it from my dentist in the middle of a cleaning once.

A bit of reassurance for you. At 30, I had no prospects and known fertility issues. At almost 32, I was married. Found a great doctor that helped with the fertility issues right away. My first son was born when I was 33. We thought we were done. Surprise pregnancy at 37. High risk, bed rest, etc. Healthy baby boy.

I'm 33, in the process of divorcing, had been married for 11 years, and had been seeing my family doctor for 10 years. He never once brought up fertility or made any assumptions one way or the other about my desire to reproduce. We'll see if that changes as I approach 35, the magic age at which I turn into a shriveled

Okay around when I turned 30, I got a LOT of discussion about babies and stats and fertility and crap from all my family and friends and even "concerned" coworkers. My doctor eventually sat me down and said, look fertility isn't like fucking milk, you don't go off by a pre-determined expiry date. Yes it does get

No. No. This should not be happening to you. I did not receive that kind of heat for not procreating by 30 from ANYONE and I live in the Bible Belt for god's sake.

It's been hitting me pretty hard lately that getting my MFA was one of the most stupid fucking things I could have ever done. I'm 32. Yeah, so, maybe a little slow on the accepting reality part. Also, just ended a long-term relationship with no intention of starting to date soon while also wanting children.

I had my tubes tied at 27 and my obgyn tried to talk me out of it. She said they prefer not to perform the procedure on women under 30. I really wanted to say "Look bitch (I don't mean that but someone else telling me what to do with my body and my whole entire future...) if I had a time machine I would not have any
