Former student and white here, a white student would have been kindly told their money was counterfeit and it would have been brushed off as a silly incident with the lunch account being set to the original sum. They would not have been accused for misconduct in the first place, so wouldn’t even have to explain

What’s the point in suspending him? To derail a high-achieving student’s career?

So what exactly is the child being punished for?

This is so weird and bad. Even if it was intentional, which seems unlikely, wouldn’t the parents be the ones responsible? How is a 12 y/o supposed to tell a counterfeit, especially if it was only noticed with the counterfeit pen? What’s the point in suspending him? To derail a high-achieving student’s career? Messed

I was going to say it was dumb the other way. If you really think the kid is counterfeiting, call the Secret Service. How do you come up with a suspension for a 15 year federal felony? Especially if the note is convincing enough that the only way the worker could tell is with a marker.

1) This is so dumb.

Fureal. That statement was very telling.

He said the quiet part loud there.

He’ll be needing that straw now.

Once you post bail don’t even think about having chicken:

“I couldn’t control you,”

Every strike was glorious.

Sis held him in place and went to work on his jaw. She was not playing.

OK, I know I be old and everything (I don’t have the InstantGrammar thing), and I be white, but was this ‘prank’ supposed to be funny or something? Was it a hope to start a fight? Or just make this woman feel ‘awkward’ for doing something she didn’t do?

Ah yes the ancient proverb of “Let me explain something to you”

In many countries and establishments this is often a forgotten ancient introduction to the art of catching hands.

The neighbor, naturally, faced no consquences for wasting police time.

This is completely insane.

What are you on about? She literally said she “...can understand her disillusionment at being arrested for petting a dog that wasn’t hers.” Like, yes it’s silly, but it makes for a near perfect control test on how white people are treated by police.

For some people their pets are their children. I wouldn’t randomly touch some stranger’s kid, let alone reach into said stranger’s car to touch said stranger’s kid. Let alone get all fucking indignant when a cop says “Yo, don’t reach into the cars of stranger’s to touch their kids”
