The GR86 wins by virtue of being hundreds of pounds lighter, as well as being more basic.  I  won’t ever want or need all the fancy in the Z.  I’m pretty sure the GR86/BRZ  twins will have much better aftermarket support, as well, which also plays a large part in my decision…

400hp for $40k seems pretty good. As someone else questioned - what does it weigh? Still not a fan of the roofline as it gets to the windshield header. Still not a fan of how the headlights resolve into the center part of the hood/fascia.
