I really want a big, old pickup, or maybe something a bit bigger like a dump truck and when drivers do stupid things like this I just pretend like there’s a brake or accelerator problem and “accidentally” cripple their car. In this case, all of the cars...

Welcome to Detroit.

I live in the city. This story happens all the time here. Some people’s driving behavior (And behavior in general) is deep into insanity territory. Disrespectful, dangerous and stupid. Not helped by the fact that the police are barely doing their job anymore because they’re butthurt over protests.

Marketed under the U-Haul-U campaign...

Spoken like an undiagnosed alcoholic bargaining with his addiction.  And other motorist’s lives...

Option 4: You hate the giant screens, lack of actual controls and shit build quality. Also, paying for a subscription for extra features. Also, also... dealing with a company that thinks regular OTA software updates for buggy software are a perfectly reasonable way to treat an auto customer. (Barely acceptable for a

File under: No shit Sherlock.

I wonder how many people outside of the auto industry know that the design and engineering of cars in the US is compromised in a variety of ways because of the requirement to protect unbelted occupants? All 50 states require seatbelt usage in some way and yet the auto industry is forced to spend time, money and

They didn’t get watered down by committees. They got watered down by the need for better quality, better safety, better aero and better efficiency. Definitely a more fun era to design in, though.

I got in right after college at a young age. I don’t want to bust your bubble but “older” students rarely make it into the industry as designers. There’s a certain kind of creativity that comes with both youth and inexperience that companies want. As we get older and wiser that kind of creativity goes away. For most

If writing didn’t feel like such a chore for me I would love to be an automotive journalist.  With a bit of racing/track time on the side.  Chris Harris has the perfect job.

My career has been as an automotive designer/stylist. Already pretty high on the dream automotive job list I should think.

Isn’t head exploding part of the fun?

I have an optometrist you should visit...

I’m very curious about the psychological profile of a person that gets turned on by seeing a car like this...

One of these is really high on my list of possibilities for a street/track toy.

I think it’s fair to say that most concept cars were never designed with production in mind. There are some exceptions where they call it a “concept” but what they really mean is that it’s an early mockup of a production car. Some concepts are nothing more than pie in the sky design masturbation to draw attention to

Same car sold for $2850 on Bring-a-Trailer 6 years ago.

The apex is not the point in the corner that determines who gets it. The turn-in point is. If someone is under you at turn-in you need to give them racing room. They are at or near turn-in here. Obviously in racing this is all very dynamic and happening quickly so these points can be a little variable depending on the

Either Max didn’t realize Lewis was where he was and turned in too much or he ignored that fact that Lewis was under him at the turn-in point and didn’t leave him racing room. Lewis probably couldn’t quite get the car turned in as much as he might have liked after that late jink to the right. The combination resulted
