Not surprised that they would do this but thought the announcement might still be a few years off. I’ll be curious to see how they lay out the drivetrain and batteries. I’m imagining the motor and controller go behind the driver and the batteries are in the front and central tunnel? No room for motor in the back?

One day of jail for every mile in the back seat...

Caterham’s new management may see this as exactly the expansion they need for future growth. The Elise chassis has already been proven in both ICE and electric configurations. Having both the Super 7 and the Elise in their stable? Perfect! Now please provide it in kit form with a supply of supercharged Toyota 4-cyclind

A well fitting and supportive seat are very important to driving a car at 10/10ths on a track. But also very important, and often overlooked, is to support the legs from splaying out. Your legs actually help support your whole body during cornering and if there’s not a proper support in place you can get distracted by

Watching Speed Racer was one of the first things I can remember from childhood!

Like others, I prefer hatchbacks but would opt for a compact (sporty) wagon.  A wagon is really just a slightly lengthened hatchback anyway.

More conservative but generally more attractive then the last one. At least the fascias aren’t butt-ugly. The upper grill area, like the last generation, is still kinda warped and weird looking.

The Aztec concept and a number of other “concepts” in the past 30 years (Basically the span of my career - No one really did this before that time period) are really just the production version of the car “conceptized” so they can preview the design cues and intent of the car some time ahead of the production model

This is what happens when you have a 6-spoke/element wheel and a five-bolt lugnut pattern and opt not to spend the money on a removable cap to hide the impending visual disaster...

Of course it won’t.  They don’t make snow tires in the correct size.

Just because it’s new, doesn’t make it bad.

I’d like a couple million dollar budget to restomod an old car like this...

That one is different.  You cross at a diagonal if you’re going to a ramp but through traffic stays on it’s side.

There are probably constraints that we don’t know about. Money, infrastructure in the way, etc..

Yup.  14 Mile as well.

I forgot the “exit 69" part.  😂

That’s not weird.  That’s a party!!

They just put one in in Michigan, at the Big Beaver/ I-75 interchange.  See my post in this thread.

Speaking of Michigan - If you’ve lived in or near Oakland Country the past few years you know that I-75 and the various bridges and interchanges to and from it have been undergoing a huge modernization and widening program. I’ve been mostly avoiding the area as much as possible, for obvious reasons. Saturday I
