First, I wanted a new car. I won’t buy Fords because of quality issues and VW’s are more expensive and I just don’t really like them. Civic Si was a possibility even though I think the bumpers are ugly. None to be found. I would have bought a Mazda 3 turbo if it came with a manual. After driving a turbo car for a

Totally agree.  Except that I came from a Veloster which I like better still.  ;-)

The Veloster R-Spec is, in my opinion, the sweet spot for the enthusiast on a budget. I had one for a couple years and I loved it. Then I had an unfortunate crash that totaled it and all of a sudden I was in the market for a new car. I didn’t want a new car! There were no R-Specs to be found and not much in the way of

Ministry with guest Gibby Haynes on vocals. How could it be bad? :-)

I feel you on the buying a house thing. With luck I close on a near 100 year old house in one of Detroit’s historic districts in a couple weeks. The seller has been a dick through the whole process in part because of the current market.

I feel like a FWD car that isn’t three wheeling through a corner is not handling “correctly”...

See my other reply to your post... :-)

It’s definitely not a true cab-over design. The occupants are in a more normal position with feet rearward of the front wheel centerline. That said, it doesn’t have a big, flat top surface over the instrument panel either. Looks like there might be storage space there, or something else that isn’t apparent in the

One time at a club, about 12 years ago, I was dancing with friends, mostly women. We noticed this obviously drunk guy stumbling around and harassing some of the other women on the dance floor. We rolled our eyes and warily put a little distance between him and us. Still, he kept stumbling around, making a nuisance

The cars we build now are capable of being safely driven much faster than they used to be. The limiting factor is the skill of the driver and the quality of driver training. Fix that and start enforcing left lane rules and turn signal use more seriously and higher speed limits would be doable.
