She did great, especially in comparison to Trump that night. Oh my lord was he embarrassing... He came at his speech like a campaign rally, people (fancy people!) were literally groaning. It was almost sympathy inducing.
YES. He looked like the Terminator, cutting through the other party goers to get to Celeste.
And I kind of loved that she was the tiniest one, physically. No one would’ve seen her as a threat, but she got things done.
This reminds me of Game of Thrones, when Dany was adoringly surrounded by the slaves she just freed.
So agree. I adored her in the first season. Then I just assumed she was getting some bad direction about her speeches and making everything. sound. IMPORTANT.
Ack. Why do people do that?
I love how she just snuck up on everybody. At the time, it seemed inconceivable that Kerrigan wouldn’t win gold, she was the hero of the story. But after watching Oksana’s performance...yeah that was something else.
Me too. I still clearly remember the afternoon of the long program and my mom coming into my room and saying “The results are in! Do you want to know?” (Norway being a few hours ahead)
Gah. Well...I’m gonna believe she’s kind and smart and treats his children well :)
I wouldn’t call him an “internet boyfriend,” but definitely in my category of “please don’t tell me anything awful about him. Let me just think he’s great.”
Same.
Yep. The coach’s reaction is what really puts it over-the-top in adorableness.
Oh for sure :) It just seemed like The Bodyguard made it THE wedding song that wasn’t actually about romance at all.
Right? And the weird thing is their lives are supposed to be enviable or aspirational. But the amount of time and effort they put into just primping and physical upkeep alone...it seems awfully stressful.
“I Will Always Love You”
Absolutely.
God the “maybe they’re doing it to themselves” crowd is going to love this.
My Catholic CCD teacher once told us that in future people would look back at abortion the same way they look back at the Holocaust. Like “How could all those people stand by and let this happen?”
Yeah, me too. You gotta get out while you still can, because pretty soon you’re going to be spending a lot of time at home. And it’s easier shopping while pregnant than with a newborn, imo.
