This might be plausible if none of the women were American, and if Robyn & Gizelle didn’t already explain to the group that they were Black in a previous conversation. I think they were just trying to make a dig at the women by saying “you’re white too”

I think he just really believes what he said. There are a lot of people who agree with him or at the very least defend his right to his “opinion”.
