I had a similar reaction to The Giving Tree as a kid—that boy was a spoiled brat who used and left the tree over and over, finally SITTING ON THE STUMP!

Yeah, there was supposed to be a point where people turned on Walt, as he became ever increasingly more evil, but a lot of people never got there.

The gif doesn’t show up here, but I tracked it down. I’m honored. :)

“Wait, you’re the United States! You’re the one with the ... president.”

“The law is the law.”

I know. I can’t think about it too hard. Just makes me so sad and angry. You’re not alone.

Topical AF.

I think he must be used to hearing how great she is. I’m glad their marriage seems made to last.

LOL, it wouldn’t be the first time I’ve watched old GH episodes on YouTube, I might have even watched that again. I remember really well how Elizabeth was in the shower when Luke came home and they made it really menacing to foreshadow that this would lead to his past being found out. I’m in Northern Minnesota, and so I legitimately need that rope on occasion. :)

You have a point on the timing of Luke and Laura. I in no way think that it was a healthy situation, but the 13 year old girl I was when they got married refuses to get the memo. Kevin Collins? That’s interesting.

Yeah, it sucks when someone so talented is so flawed. Especially when their talents make clear they’re aware of the damage men do.

You’re right. As a girl growing up in Detroit, my brain just have put it into familiar context. :)

I’d try it. I like to try everything once, and in the immortal words of Ca Garland, “God hates a coward.” ;)

I knew I was a spoiled kid every time I fathomed how thrilled Laura was to get a damned orange for Christmas. The thrill being allowed to wear bangs made complete sense to me.

Bert Cooper’s eulogy for Mrs. Blankenship made me think of Laura. How monumentally the world can change in one lifespan.

Is the fact that Ma made pigeon pie evidence for or against her craziness?
