That’s a pretty sweet deal.

That’s a pretty sweet deal.

“Well since everyone thought Hillary was going to win, the animatronics team already started building her prior to the election.”

Yeah, the animatronics are uncanny.

For real. I don’t know which aspect was the worst — the direct line between Washington and Trump. The normalization of his presidency by focusing on what he has in common with his predecessors. The recitation of an oath that he has no interest in keeping. The inspirational music underneath it all.

Ugh. They have Washington talk about how he took an oath, 35 words, that every other president has now sworn. And then Trump speaks the oath of office and my soul started to wither, so I stopped watching.

I know. I understand logically why he has to be, but it also makes me sick to my stomach. He might be eligible, but he’s not worthy.

I don’t think the stuff really quenches your thirst, and so the people who drink it tend to drink a lot of it, and figure there’s no penalty.

I agree that the people of Minnesota should have had a say. I can’t say I wouldn’t have voted for him again. However, I don’t have it in me to fight for him to stay, or to overlook the potential hypocrisy.

After a while, it starts tasting okay. My evidence of this is drinking the stuff all while growing up. Regular Coke was contraband.

I have yet to meet a liberal Minnesota woman who wants him gone, and I’ve been in rooms full of ‘em.* In private local FB groups, it’s all shared links to people making the case for him staying.

Ha, I’ve said the same thing. Let Someone Else Finish!

I used to watch MSNBC like it was my job, but I got rid of Dish and just do Hulu/Netflix/Amazon/Starz through my FireTV, or whatever they call it. I only see MSNBC on YouTube.

Exactly my thought. You could not name a person who’d surprise me less. I mean, this is just making it more official.

Not at all. I’m not a hugger, but I’m convinced if I’d received THAT hug I would have emerged brand new, all my childhood pain and regrets accumulated over a lifetime washed away.

I’m reading The Girl on the Train right now, having finished Into the Water last week. (Paula Hawkins)

Because we need hope, and to be able to remember times. There are many reasons I don’t like the current First Family, but it can be summed up by saying they certainly aren’t like the Obamas.

“I will get a lot of flak for this (full disclosure, white man about to agree with other richer white man) but I get what Matt Damon is trying to say, he just said it poorly.”

I’m a Democrat in Minnesota, and somewhat active in local progressive groups ... which are made up entirely of women. I have yet to hear anything other than sympathy toward Franken.
