An abandoned weather station. Forecast: hot and humid.

I despise the rule that women over "insert age" should not have long hair. Luckily, I'm blessed with thick wavy Italian hair, I have 4 kids, and have always rocked my long hair. I'm 52 and it's at my waist. When said kids were little, braids, ponytails, buns, etc. Same for work. I get the most compliments on my

Oh, please, Trolly McTrollerson. Go back under your bridge and try I frighten other children with your Troll-ness. #STAYUNDERTHEBRIDGETROLL

Well they'd be right in labeling it as misogynistic, but the misogyny is coming from the culture of the characters in the show, not from the show's creators or GRRM. which i think a lot of people tend to overlook.

I'm glad you are open to this point of view. If you care about the representation of women, it really can be very instructive to compare scenes like that. Unfortunately, too many people just see tits and yell "exploitation" without really thinking about what they actually saw.

Who on earth wants pizza made by an Irish family in Indiana?

you sir, are a turd.

This is a very douchy response.

While I made a face at the sandy vagina thing, you might want to hold off on having too many strong opinions until you get past the season that needed to draw in viewers and get to more of the naked men, the men being raped, etc.

STFU. There is nowhere near the same amount of nudity. And using terms like but hurt and sandy vagina makes you sound like a petulant child. Insulting someone for a comment not directed at them is ridiculous. I have had some great conversations with people on this site and have learned a lot but I loathe people like

Agreed. GRRM built a world, and in this world, women are raped and are prostitutes. Is it a bit gratuitous on the show? Yes. But I would argue the imagery in the books is worse at times. The female characters in this show are fantastic, and I think GRRM does a nice job of showing that women have to achieve power in a

If this dope can't calculate a tip, they're probably not smart enough to avoid eating at restaurants where they have previously stiffed severs. Karma.

You're moving the goalposts. You're saying, "it's okay that people can't afford to have kids, because maybe people should just not have kids!" Except that you're not addressing the costs or the issues associated with the costs.

None of us is an island, and we are all part of society. It's distinctly American (and odd) to believe that society does not affect and shape us and our choices.

Even controlling for inflation (and LOL, I love when people try to school me on simple microecon) the COL is significantly higher. Housing costs are especially higher relative to stagnant wage growth.

Oh, I was out with my nephew and my wife was gone, and people acted like I was going to trip and fall and break the world trying to care for him. He's 9.

Education is free, paid for by my tax dollars.

Um, leaving aside toy costs, things like food costs, healthcare costs, and education costs have skyrocketed exponentially - way higher than the rate of inflation - and salaries have stagnated.
