LOL the NSA is tracking you right now..you're on the internet.

For me, as a white woman...

To all the white feminists flipping out on this thread: if you're going to ask other people to examine their privilege, you have to be willing to examine your own.

Please, it's not like this is the first time most of us WoC have encountered white women like this, it just reconfirms a lifetime of negative experiences with them.

Flowbee generalized white woman and the worst that will happen as a result is your hurt fee fees. White people generalized black people and Trayvon Martin (and countless other black kids) is dead and his killer is free.

Yes because FlowbeeBryant making comments about the jurors online and Zimmerman killing Martin and then escaping punishment is the same thing isn't it? Do you even read before you post? God white feminists are so oblivious.

Don't expect any white people on this site to understand where you're coming from. They will just take it as a personal attack, but the fact of the matter is, when you're a person of color, you find that most white women you encounter will not be your ally when they're forced to pick a side.

As a non-white woman who has been in feminist circles - this isn't a surprise. I've seen white women constantly give white men a pass for their awful behaviour while demonising non-white men and especially black men at the merest hints of sexism. Look at this site and its publishing of Hugo Schwyzers articles. The

For me, this was going to come down to whether white women saw themselves as white first or women first. I've gotten my answer.

I find this offensive. I don't know where to begin? Probably because I'm too drunk right now.

Not to get racial, but a lot of these execs are coming from homes where drinking is normalised and then they go to college and enter mostly white frats and drink a bunch. I don't want to say that white people are all alcoholics, but it does seem like something that activists in the white community might want to focus

"The Iraq" is perhaps the best two-word quote ever. Those who know it, know it.

It's not disdain, it's different priorities and a different culture. There's only disdain (from me, not the entire continent) if an interior design is significantly compromised to allow for more/better/different cupholders, which isn't all that common. I do think, and this is just me talking, that Europeans don't tend

Hi, it certainly isn't a superiority thing, just that we've grown up in euro econoboxes with no amenities and no automatic gearboxes. So the car culture is quite different. Another difference, until recently anyway, is that we mostly have fixed times for meals and don't do much eating or drinking out of those hours

This needs to be COTD, it's really interesting. Funny how such simple things as cupholders remind us that cultural differences can sometimes be about the smallest details. I for one live in France, and I've never used a cupholder in a car (or anywhere else apart from an plane for that matter). Granted, I've only had

As Duurtlang says, most people in Europe tend to drive and stay focused on driving. We have long portions of highways with frequent road rest areas. You stop every two hours stretch, have a coffee or a smoke or both and then you're good for two more hours.

I think part of that is an infrastructure thing; from what I've heard, it seems that in Europe there are more places to stop, pull over, park, and get something to eat and drink. Here in the US, that's just not always the case once you get away from major cities, and those few places that do exist aren't always very

#3 Cup holders? Must be an American problem, which is why European cupholders are an afterthought. I've never used a cupholder (for a cup) in my life. My current DD does have cupholders.

@grimjack28: From what I've learned, space-time can be compared to a stretchy fabric. If you put weight on it, it will bend around that weight. Just like when you rest on your bed - your bed sheets bend around you, unless you sleep on concrete.

@grimjack28: They are holes, though. The extremely dense object rests at the bottom of the hole.
