Nope, that's not the case. The next version will move the settings outside the Program Files, which should alleviate your concern.

We've changed the executable to run as administrator by default in the next version. In the future we may look at moving the settings to the user's folders (rather than Program Files) so that it won't have this problem and also allow different user to have different rules.
Great suggestion! We'll look at adding that in the next version.
Thanks for the kind words. It's great to see that everybody likes Belvedere so much!
Avi, open up an issue here: [github.com] and attach your rules.ini and I'll have a look to see what's going on.
@Victor Lin: added to the list
@CatamountJack: this will be in the next version. it's defined as a custom action which will act upon the file matched and call the custom action with the matched filename as a parameter to the custom action. Is that what you are looking for?
@nevzat: i'll certainly put it on the list. Maybe you can add some comments to it to help spec it out? Here it is: [github.com]
@jinkerz7: i've added it to the list as an enhancement. currently the loop will read all files within a directory regardless of attributes. i'm thinking the best way would be to allow the user to define which attributes should be included in the search and which ones shouldn't. agreed?
@nevzat: i see what you are trying to do. that's quite specific to your environment, might i suggest some type of vb script, etc?
@johnwait: i'd love to get the itunes support implemented, and was next on my list to start playing there. let me know if you make any progress, and i'll start tackling other items on the list.
@Eugene Schava: are you looking to do so without the default program assigned to the file extension? The open file action does so by using the Windows default extension association. Simply reassigning to another program within Windows might help you out.
@jinkerz7: is it possible that you have recursion on?
@krazygirl: good idea. I've added it to the list.
@nevzat: would love to get that in there if we can. are you simply looking for regex support?
@digitalheritage: that's a very interesting suggestion...i've added it to the list
@Wipeout: thanks
@S@ndman: thanks for the suggestion, have added it to the enhancement list.
@snze: great idea. I keep hearing requests for folder actions...i'm looking into ways to implement this within the next version if possible.
@schizosmurf: what are you looking to see? I'm taking suggestions right now for the next release.
