Hi, I wrote something in the hope that pop culture writers and fans of the MCU would understand some things about Sam Wilson’s background, because I think most audiences don’t realize that Sam Wilson is a special forces soldier (using common civilian language).

When Sam Wilson said he was in the 58th Pararescue, I

It actively didn’t make sense to me that the MCU waited 11 years to release a female helmed movie. Not only was it confusing that Black Widow didn’t get a solo film (and got weirdly left out of the merch for The Avengers if I recall), but movie audiences were primed for big budget young adult content with female

I definitely didn’t say that those movies came out because of political correctness...what a strange misinterpretation. I just remember when we were waiting for ages for a superhero movie with a Black or female lead. Do you not remember that time?

Jesus, two years later and I’m never going to stop feeling vicariously embarrassed by people calling Captain Marvel’s 90 seconds of air force content that’s entirely about how they’re a bunch of misogynist pricks ‘military propaganda’.

I mean, I don’t disagree with the criticism per se, but I don’t know how anyone squares this moral righteousness over an actor taking a role with the fact that actors taking roles in pro-military propaganda blockbusters like Captain Marvel and Zero Dark Thirty never receive a fraction of this criticism. In fact, we’re

It amuses me that so much of this article seemed like an attempt at riling up DC fans who mostly weren’t bothered...their complaints are more with the hacks who run DC Comics than anyone else.

And this is why guys who get all squirmy and scared whenever the topic of #MeToo comes up should always be suspect.

No Droids? Fuck right off!

DANGIT. I meant January 1969 Let it Be sessions. Now my whole picking of nits has collapsed under its own weight. You win this round, PF77.

Ultimately, I still find the “final days” wording a bit suspect. Not wrong, just feels less than ideal.

As an inveterate nitpicker, I feel obliged to point out that Abbey Road was made after the January 1969 Let it Be sessions, but before Let it Be was finalised in early 1970.

I feel your pain, but it’s on us to adapt.

The first double-length episode of WandaVision, I didn’t get around to it until Sunday evening. By the middle of the season, I was streaming them on my lunch break Friday.

And the last two eps, I got up at 4 a.m. CST to catch them.

I truly don’t believe Falcon/Winter Soldier

Not to be picking nits, but they recorded the entirety of Abbey Road *after* the January 1970 Let it Be sessions that turned into the film.  It’s still fair to call it “final days” I suppose since we’re talking only months more of the group, but they managed to flipping record a whole other masterpiece after this

Shut up, Grimey.

Homer Simpson is exactly what’s wrong with America: he coasts through life without a care in the world, while other people have to pick up the slack. People like me. He’s a fraud. A total fraud.

I always thought it was odd he lived in that dream house, with a beautiful wife, a son who owns a factory and lobster for dinner.. Meanwhile I live in a single room over a bowling alley and under another bowling alley.

They deliberately manipulated people with the Peters stuff.

You making deals? I’m making deals.

I don’t understand how cancel culture works when I keep seeing people that are cancelled never suffer any consequences except getting called out on twitter lol.

“another Marvel project, yawn, they’re all the same anyways - I don’t see why anyone likes them anymore. They don’t do anything creative and the directors don’t matter, it’s all just Marvel-house style anyway.”

Im sure they'll be devastated.
