Don’cha hate it when a trailer spoils the end of the movie? Turns out they lived there.

Counterpoint: It’s possible that he, being something of a Hollywood insider (Golden Globe winning actor and such) has access to more reliable sources than John and Jane Filmgoer. He’s always struck me as an affable, agreeable dude, so it seems like he might not come out and say something like that if he weren’t pretty

Still so bummed about this. He was my favorite Mr Show cast member, and I always loved seeing him crop up on shows here and there. MAGA is a helluva drug.

I, for one, would prefer a sound loss all around. Some sort of incalculable, humiliating landslide. Sadly, I think your outcome is more likely.

What an immense talent. Her performance in A Woman Under the Influence is an all-timer.

I’m an atheist, but I think it’s really refreshing to see religious characters portrayed with humanity in a mainstream film.

The tone of this piece is bleak. And accurate.

I was too young to have seen her on SNL, but I fell hard for JLD on a little one-season wonder called Day By Day, also featuring Courtney Thorne-Smith right before Melrose Place, and Cristopher Daniel Barnes before The Brady Bunch Movie (he even played Greg Brady in a Brady Bunch-themed episode of Day By Day!)

Looter-shooters/deathmatch-shooters are, by their very nature, very noisy.

Yet in some corners of the internet, it’s being referred to as “The Death of Star Wars!” Dudes rock.

I knew Trump mostly through Bloom County and, to a lesser extent, Phil Hartman’s portrayal on SNL. Both shows depicted him as a aloof, callous, greedy piece of shit with zero self-awareness.

If you copy anything with rich text, you have to “paste plain,” command+shift+V on a mac.

This reference made me feel so old. Not Johnny Carson and Doc Severinsen, or David Letterman and Paul Schaffer, or even Conan O’Brien and Max Weinberg, but Leno and Eubanks?!

I didn’t think Marnie was ever a full time member, just a frequent fill-in, but I may be wrong about that. She’s touring her new LP now, at any rate (it’s really good!)

Oh, part of their series on movies turning 75 in June? Can’t wait for the features on Gildersleeves’ Ghost, Roger Touhy: Gangster, Fuzzy Settles Down, and Olsen & Johnson’s Ghost Catchers.

Christ, isn’t a little early for the “Baby It’s Cold Outside” clickbait discourse machine to fire up again? Didn’t we settle this years ago, or has the COVID brain fog destroyed that part of our collective memory?

He still did the majority of the songwriting in the late 60s/early 70s, despite stepping away from the production and musical aspects.

Honestly, as someone who has watched every Beach Boys film and documentary I could get my hands on, the Disney Plus doc was kind of a refreshing change. This was a documentary about the band, not Brian Wilson, and like it or not, Brian was increasingly absent from the band’s creative process after 1967, and many of

Likewise, the woman on the right is clearly “Blind Al” from Deadpool. I’d insert images here, but shockingly, it’s not working.

Yeah, it’s definitely a fine line. I do, sincerely, love what Filoni’s done filling in the gaps between episodes of The Saga but also love when folks like Tony Gilroy and Rian Johnson are able to play in the sandbox and do something completely different.
